Have never owned a Ford........yet! My son has a 2015 Explorer. I like it. Neighbor has a F 250. I like it. Been a Chevy guy most of my life. Though I have a Nissan Frontier now, that has been a good truck.

Still have until March 27th for coyotes keep it going!

Nice end to the season! You guy's were on a roll too!

I know law enforcement has a job to to and they just want to go home at the end of their shift. That being said, it seems like after you gave all the answers, to his questions, and were cooperative in every way. He could have lightened up a bit more on you, towards the end of the encounter. I commend you for keeping your cool, for the benefit of both yourself and the police officer.

When we all signed into this site, we all agreed to abide by the set rules of this site. I don't consider it censorship if you break those set rules and are reprimanded or banned by the administration. A little common sense and common courtesy go a long way to make the site, more enjoyable for the vast amount of members. Sometimes we can just agree to disagree , and leave it at that. JMO

The moose lodge on 30a across from the chevy dealership in Johnstown. I know what ya mean though. That area does have it's share of "characters". But everything about the show was real nice. We had a great time!

Nice work! I really like it! All from sheds you have found ?
-
Oh.....we didn't do nothing.....????
-
Just wondering if anyone else from this forum went to this show?

"I'm a very experienced hunter". Show me were the deer are??? C'mon man!

My grandson and I went up to the adk. Outdoor show in Johnstown today. First time going to this one and was quite impressed. Not real big but some good deals on a variety of outdoor stuff. Even ran into a couple guy's I know. Started a subscription for NY outdoor News, picked up a few smallmouth jigs, a quaker boy double dog predator call and a few other odds and ends. And my grandson picked out a few things as well. It was a great way to spend a cold afternoon with him! We look forward to going back again next year!

I kind of see where froggy was going, but I think he got there the wrong way.

I do think they work hard. But they seem to be terribly understaffed. I like watching those shows too!

-19 here this morning and out of three vehicles, my old truck was the only one to start!

I would use the owl call to locate roost birds the night before the hunt. During the day, a crow call or even better a peacock call for a locater works well for me.

I see a couple of die hard ice fishermen out on the lake. Think I'll pass on that today!

After reading this thread, I decided to put up an avitar pic. But what to use?? So I chose the number one buck on my hit list, "the split ear buck"! He will be a five year old this fall. My grandson got this pic of him on his trail cam, that was given to him by a member here. It will be a constant reminder, to stay focused on putting my hands on him, this fall.

Welcome! Glad to have you stop by!

There are more than a few members here who will sniff out the BS, and call it what it is. Over all I'd say this is a pretty straight forward and honest group of guys and gals. A 185 yard heart shot with open sights is something to brag about!
-
Out of six deer killed with a M L, the longest shot was 50-55 yards. Thompson Shadowhawk Thunder 90gr. loose powder 240gr. hornady sabot. Open fiber sights.

2nd grey of the season, crazy night
grampy replied to Chris B's topic in Small Game and Predator Hunting
Nice story of a cool hunt! Keep em coming and best of luck out there! -
I'd like to do some ice fishing too. The cold doesn't bother me too much when dressed for it. But the wind is going to howl this weekend so maybe I'll take my grandsons to the ADK outdoor show instead. Monday may be a better day to hit the ice as I'm off work for Presidents day.

I'll take it. Looks like a good cam for a good price. PM sent. Thanks phade!

4 Reasons For A Deer Hunter To Be A Grouse Hunter
grampy replied to Mr VJP's topic in Small Game and Predator Hunting
Pretty much the same here too. We have quite a few, but without a dog it takes a good bit of shoe leather to put a couple in the field jacket pouch. But if I were a better shot, I wouldn't have to walk as far either. I miss more than I shoot. -
Hope not! Your wife my have a shrunken headed Biz baby!
