  1. These are absolutely beautiful works of art. What an awesome keepsake to have of a special hunt and buck. The time and talent really shows when done. My hat's off to you!
  2. Welcome! Very good group here and very knowledgeable bunch too. Glad you stopped by, just pull up a seat and join right in!
  3. Almost all of my blinds have a milk crate for a seat. So I will need one long enough to use, while seated on one. Being a diabetic, it can be hard at times to hold a steady sight picture. I'm just looking for ways to hold rock steady be for the shot. And still be able to move the gun to where ever the deer show up.
  4. I'm thinking of getting a bi-pod for my hunting rifle and maybe the crossbow too. I hunt almost exclusively from natural ground blinds. I know it will add a little weight to the set up. And I have a Primo's trigger stick, but attaching a bi-pod, would be less to carry. Anyone use them? Pro's and con's? Opinions? Thanks!
  5. Happy Birthday! Today, it's all about you! Do something you enjoy. Surround yourself with family, friends and good food. Let the good times roll! It's your day!
  6. I won't bring a knife to a gun fight. If a situation is bad enough to have to pull a knife, there are better options.
  7. If I were to classify a crossbow, it would be with archery equipment. Pretty simple I think. So full inclusion is the way to go.
  8. What a beautiful work of art! Your buddy has an awesome keepsake, of a great buck, AND a talented, good friend! So nice on a number of levels. I could spend 20 years, trying to make something like that. And it wouldn't be half as nice. Great job!
  9. I will be 59 in four months, have two bad shoulders, and other health issues. But I think crossbow should be open, for all of archery season, for EVERYONE! Young, old or otherwise! Have it so you need the bow course, as it is more similar to bow than to a muzzle loader. At this point, there really is no reason, not to have full inclusion for the crossbow for 2016!
  10. You just never know when life will be turned upside down or come to an end. Live each day to it's fullest. Like it will be your last. And always let the ones you love most, know how you feel. Prayers sent.
  11. Great Pic! He looks very comfy in camo!
  12. Happy Birthday! Hope your day is filled with family, friends, good times and good food!
  13. My zombie BIL, likes the brains. ????
  14. I've said many times on this forum, if it's legal, it's fine by me. Just because someone hunts differently than I do, doesn't mean it's wrong or a bad thing. But the atlatl? Now you guys are pushing the envelope!.., lol
  15. It will be interesting to see what Phillips draws up for Cam and the Panthers. Surely it will be something Cam hasn't seen this year. We will all see if it works!
  16. The Fusions shot very well for me. But the Federal Nosler B.T. in 140gr shot a bit better and performed flawlessly for me during deer season. Thanks for all the replies !
  17. Happy Birthday! Hope your day is filled with noth'in but the good stuff!
  18. Phillips is a defensive guru. It was the defense that got them to the Super Bowl, by lumping up Brady.
  19. Very nice work! I like the one ear back one ear forward. Looks great!
  20. Just my opinion. If you have never hunted with archery gear, it would be a huge benefit, to take the archery course, before hunting with a crossbow. Even though it's not required to take the archery course at this time. Hunting with a crossbow is far more similar to archery, than hunting with a muzzle loader.
  21. I was given the Buck Alfa from my grandson's, at Christmas. I like it but have not used it yet. So can't really help with an honest review. Not sure how the saw blade will hold up on a thick branch or a big ol buck. But it seems sturdy enough. And just the right size. And plenty sharp enough too. Have fun with your new knife search!
  22. Well said ! I have been thinking the same thing.
  23. Good idea Biz, but I'd rather put the money towards a hunting trip. I'm much more a hunting fan than a football fan.
  24. Pretty cool. I've never seen anything like that myself.
