  1. Yes sir, your going to have a heck of a season this year Larry! Bet the anticipation factor went up a few notches, after seeing these pictures!
  2. Congrats Zeek, beautiful looking truck!!
  3. He may grow into a shooter buck in a couple of years??? Just kidding of course!!! What a great buck!!! Hope to see you both in a picture together this fall! Then you can work your artistic magic and bring him back to life! Good luck out there.
  4. It's very obvious that you have a real talent for taxidermy work. Your work is beautiful!! And your "hobbie" probably doesn't seem like "work"? I have no doubt that you will be very successful with your own business. Go for it!! If I get real lucky, I'd love to come out to meet you!!
  5. I kept thinking to myself, about how many huge bucks were within a few miles of that field????
  6. Thank You!!! You would be the first one I'd call!!!
  7. No mounts for me last year. But..... I have decided that my next one will be a pedestal mount. What are the average prices for one of those???
  8. What an awesome mount!!! Sir, your beautiful work always amazes me.
  9. Well that really stinks!!! I was going to go online tonight to order one or two!!! Seems like a lot of ladder stands are not in stock these days!! At a time when most want to purchase, and get them out in the woods. What gives?? Another Covid manufacturing casualty??
  10. I bought one of these last year at Bass Pro. I love it!
  11. The old orchard on the farm is loaded with apples this year. We hunt the trails going to and from them. But most times the deer feed there after dark.
  12. I for one will give her the benefit of the doubt, as I don't know much about her. I can't possibly see how she could be worse than King Andy. Regardless of her political party, she grew up poor, and not with a silver spoon. She has worked her way through college, and started her political career as a town clerk. Long considered a middle of the road democrat. I'm sure she must have some good core values deep down. Just because someone is in a different political party than me, does not mean I have to totally disagree with them! I hope she does well for NY.
  13. When I sometimes do hunt above ground level, it's only in a ladder stand. Like others have said, you'll want the X-large platform with the flip up seat. And I second the use of extra ratchet straps!!
  14. Sorry, I have not been there yet. But heard it is pretty nice.
  15. And since this is NY......he won't need bail either.
  16. Perhaps him and Fredo both, will take the leap off the 'old man's bridge'??? Good riddance.
  17. Since I just purchased our new home, and have spent a bundle making it our own. Funds are at this time too low to participate in these great deals. I would love to have any of these! I already have the sister to that Sako, and have held that Bavarian in my own hands. I can without a doubt attribute to it's beauty. And that Tikka is in a sweet chambering, that I already reload for! The TC and the Savage, would really improve my predator set up! But no way to swing anything now. So good luck with the sales!! Having bought a Sako, and a bow from moog, I can clearly state that anything he sells, is top notch, and would make any buyer proud!!!
  18. Wow!!! Just Wow!!! If I ever got trail cam pic's like that. I'd do a back flip!!! And would surely hurt myself.........sigh.....
  19. I have no idea why you can not use a crossbow in 4-J. But nothing much makes sense with current crossbow regulations.
  20. You mean the Middle School?? I have seen some HUGE bucks behind there! But no access.... Also RT.20 going west, to Rt. 158. Is a good stretch to catch site of a huge buck now and then. But it's not easy hunting!! The ticks will carry you away. And good access is so hard to find. Also these huge bucks get to know where they are safe. As they frequently bed in someone's backyard, behind the shed. It really would not surprise me to have a NYS record buck living, and dieing of old age in WMU 4-J.
  21. I've worked in Guilderland for 35 years, and have seen some monster bucks in that time! I lucked out, and picked up a good sized private hunting parcel in the western Pine Bush last year. And almost shot the biggest buck of my life. WMU 4-J is a bow only zone. So the bucks get what they need most to grow big and old......age.
