my girlfriend always asks about my hunts and is super proud of me when I get a deer. She has even asked to come out with me but she says she won't kill a fly and won't watch when I actually shoot.

Do you just not see bucks at your hunting spot or do you not get shots on them or miss etc? I know a guy who has shot 3 bucks in the last 25 years and he has hunted every year. He hunts the same places that his brother does and his brother takes a buck nearly every year. I hear of other guys who just never see bucks on their property.

I haven't seen much either. Saw no deer from stand during bow. Only saw 4 does and one buck very far away during gun season from stand. Did see some while still hunting but they saw me first. Glad I got my buck with bow which was my goal for the season. Pissed at myself that I passed an easy shot on a doe opening day of gun. Figured I'd see more which hasn't been the case at all.

Haven't seen any chasing this year but saw a lot the past 2 years.

froze my ass off and didn't see a thing. Got a decent buck on cam.

I have a viper 2-7 for my shotgun. Crazy clear and solid. Love it.

I am fighting with myself but I will go out. I am cold and I'm in my house still. lol

I'll see what the winds are doing and if the other hunters will be on the property but it it's going to be really winds and cold maybe I will go in a little before sunrise and still hunt for the morning.

I haven't seen much this year but did take a nice buck with bow. Haven't seen many deer on stand. I am hunting a new spot so hard to compare from last year.

I've tried but ran out of property quick. On the new property I hunt it is doable but could lead me more than a mile from the road with a long drag ahead of me.

it's one of the best feelings that comes with hunting isn't it? I worked a place the past several years that hired European help for cheap (Slovaks, Czech, some English) and I would always invite them to come fishing at the lake we worked at and we'll catch fish and grill them right there and I'd also bring a cooler of venison and I'd make them bacon wrapped venison or venison burgers and it was really awesome watching 15 people eat and love my food and many of them started asking questions about hunting in America etc. Really great experiences that I hope to continue.

I have a sharpener that seems to work well on other knives. what do you all use?

After taking my last buck with bow on the ground for the first time, there is really nothing like it. It was incredible.

that's something that if I saw it in the woods, I would be scared and wouldn't tell anyone what I saw, or think I saw.

Yeah I can't wait to use them. Just have to shoot a deer this weekend hah.
