Wildgame cams are a crapshoot. Either way their delay setting is too long. More so if set on a trail. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The 2016s have smart IR video which keeps rolling if a deer is in front moving. It also can go to 20 seconds the old fashioned way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Too many variables for one blanket answer. Longest I've gone is somewhere between 7 and 8 months. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Silly design. Spin the cam and break the strap mounts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Trail Cam: Free for a kid who could use the help.

I have a kid IDed this morning. Thanks all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I won't lie, I'd really enjoy a chance to spear game. Completely outside of my comfort zone but it's going back before the bow and arrow and that seems like a challenge I would try to overcome. I'm sure if I ever do it and am successful I will be pretty excited. Sometimes people think hunting needs to be so somber that you can't express excitement and appreciation at the same time. Same concept as hardcore hunters targeting older bucks - it seems like flogging yourself is the only acceptable way to success. Can't be fun or enjoyable. I question some hunters amongst our ranks. It also makes me appreciate my hunting buddies even more. Going after big bucks and having fun is something that can both be done in our circle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sorry for your loss. Hard to do, but focus on the positives. 46 of marriage/togetherness is pretty impressive in this day and age. A lot of good things came out of it. Time to focus on the kids/grandkids and live happily - I am sure she would want that for you.

New Sprayer Suggestion for 2017

Look at Chapin - they are a wNY company. They might have something and always nice to support local interest. -
Looks like they cut loose the Bomar girl after the bear spearing incident. Pretty tough media blitz to get it to happen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Let's just say she wasn't a mounter. Lots of people trespass off the park onto the private property - the worst of whom are shed hunters. Moog me and our hunting buddy are very fortunate to hunt in that area. But, knowing the wealth around it, adding hunting to the mix would make trespassing an even bigger issue. Some of the trespassing situations are obnoxious as noted.

Both of you thanks a bunch! I got them within a couple seconds of one another, LOL!!!!!

Spartan and Browning Trail Cameras
phade replied to phade's topic in Advertisers / Site Sponsors Area
Very costly - The one in Syracuse would be around $1,500 after booth, hotel room and other associated costs. Not including any of the booth equipment. At the margins I sell mostly via private party, it would be a struggle to come out ahead let alone for it to be worth my time. It's part of the reason you only see cams for sale at shows from either the company themselves or from shops that have it as a part of their inventory but sell other things such as a full-fledged archery shop. -

I have a giveaway for liking my company's facebook page - it is a 2016 Browning Strikeforce HDE. Sign up if you want a chance! -
Bid difference between hitting the shoulder paddle and the knuckle. The latter is a pretty poor experience whether fixed or mechanical for anything but someone shooting a ton of KE and tree logs for arrows.

Long shot but does anyone have one they won't use - like the $20 off $150, etc.? Usually has two codes associated with it? Thanks in advanced.

The dropper is indeed a nice buck. One of the better ones walking around in this state no doubt.

Ban me. I know I am breaking a rule, but there is a point where a line is crossed. Odorless crossed it. To imply what you did is scummy. You sir - are a Class A douche bag and your post only reinforces the status. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- 22 replies

No idea on value, but that sounds like a neat gun with a proud history. I've shot one before, pretty fun.

I have a cam that I'd like to give to an underprivileged kid/youth. Would prefer the youth not be from a family who can afford to buy a cam for their kid. It is a higher-end blackflash camera that I've owned since new. It sprung a leak a year ago and I did a quick, ugly repair job to bring it back to life and put it back in service. The little moisture damage that occurred causes the batteries to run down a bit faster than normal, but the cam works OK otherwise. A full set of generic alkaline batteries will last about 4-6 weeks. I will ship the cam, a card, and a pack of batteries.

Yep - been in that mag before. It's actually part of a large conglomerate.

The rig is nice, the buck is nice, but that hair? That's real nice.

Sensitivity will have no impact on transition pics. It's all in the coding/firmware - cams that do not opt for the IR image at the right light settings tend to have exactly what is happening with your cam. It is not an easy thing to manage, though. A lot of cams have this challenge.
