Neat picture, bittersweet. You have love trail cameras! It sure looks like a high hit to me. Bone stopped the arrow from doing it's job. The height of the stand and the angle of the projectile along with how well the bow is tuned and how straight (or wobbly) the arrow was flying at time of impact are all factors to consider.

Not only are gun owners up against the anti gun media, our anti gun gov't and US citizens who think more gun laws will keep everyone more safe (look at the history to see this not the case)..we are also up against each other, gun owners that don't want to unite and would rather just point the finger at each other. This is just the beginning of gun restrictions. The flood gates are now open. Somewhere down the road when another tragedy occurs, guns will be blamed once again, and more restrictive laws will be placed gun owners.

I suggest that everyone stops doing business with NY, in all areas. Boycott NY

It's amazingly stupid. NYS is in debt up to it's ears, only second to California and it seems the number 1 priority for Cumo is to spend more money to regulate legal gun owners, enforce socialist laws on us. This is directed at the folks on here that keep putting down the NRA. Please listen to reason. Doc has nailed it. Become educated on what all gun owners are up against and how the system works. Do you realize how much money and power the ant- gun side has? All gun owners need to be heard, we need to unite and we need to stay on top of this every step. The NRA is doing all of this. If you joined a local gun club where sportsmen gathered to shoot trap, pistol, rifles ect. There will be some people that don't see eye to eye on some things. That's normal, that's life. We are not all perfect and not all the same. But if everyone left the local gun club because of differences, there would then be no club. We need to get past this and grow up. We need to all stand together despite our differences. It's either that, or be pushed around by the anti gun politic ans and other anti gun groups. They want us to be divided so they can push us aside and pass laws that will take our freedoms away. The time is now to make the choice on what side you want to stand on. Doing nothing is part of the problem. Putting down the NRA, who is our most effective 2nd amendment advocacy group and complaining is part of the problem and helping the anti-gun side. We all need to unite as one or stand back and watch the anti's slowly but surely strip us of our 2nd Amendment rights.

I bet a lot of widows would just bring them down to the local "turn in your guns for a giftcard" day. I always wonder how many times people have brought in some real gems not knowing what they had and just wanting to get the guns out of the house.

I like to get out and walk around with a few inches of snow on the ground. Seeing deer tracks and where deer are traveling has always facinated me and has taught me a lot. The tracks tell a story. For scouting I concentrate on rubs lines and trying to find pinch points. It's a good time to learn more about the lay of the land and think about how to best access an area without educating deer on the way to and from a stand area.

Thanks for asking, that's a good question. The National Rifle Association is the major advocate for gun rights in the American political arena. That means, when politicans begin to lobby to take away the right to own a certain gun or magazine, the NRA will be there to lobby against that. They will stand up for all gun owners. There other great organizations that stand up for gun owners rights. The NRA is the strongest and my choice. My membership....... along with the 4 million other members makes that possible.There are strength in numbers. Being a membership is a privilage. I realize that gun owners need to be united and make a stand against those who would like to take them all away. Hunting, sport shooting and owning a gun for self defense is dear to my heart. I'm on board for safe guarding that right. There are many other benefits to being a member of the NRA as you can see by visiting the NRA site. But being on the team that stands up for gun owners is the real reason for me. I hope this helps. GM

The NRA is the largest pro gun, pro Second Amendment Organization in the USA. Thank God for them!!! Our right to own firearms will be under a massive attack in the weeks and months ahead. Do you want the NRA to work out of a shack and be underfunded so they will crumble when they have to face the powerful anti-gun Obama Administration, media and other anti gun politicans?????????? I'm amazed to see even one negative comment about the NRA on here. Anyone who hunts, owns a gun or believes in the 2nd Amendment should realize that the NRA will be the main organization doing all the ground work in the courts and standing up against the politicians who are are now writing anti gun bills. Plain and simple, like Doc said, we need to become organized and to stand as one. Joining the NRA and other such organizations are what we ALL need to be doing. And FAST!

We all need to speak up, spread the word, educate and unite. Send this to your friends, post it on Facebook. Join the NRA and encourage others to join. Don't give an inch on our gun rights. Good info Geno, I like your way of thinking. There are a ton of factors involved in the problem. The politicaians and the media blaming it all on the gun is about as insane an argument I could ever imagine. There are no easy answers, ppl are upset, but placing all blame on the device used is mind numbing ignorance. "The gun is the villan" and it will be fed daily on the news for months. I refuse to watch. I can't.
