  1. Great deer Bruno! I took a big ole doe last night around 5:30. She was 15 yards quartering away and the Hellrazor did the job on both lungs. She piled up within sight!
  2. This was my first attempt at a food plot. After doing the research, I spread lime as the soil tests showed I had a very low PH. Fertilized and spread the Imperial blend pure attraction and walla! A nice buck standing right in the middle of it 1 month later! You can see the plotsaver in the background. It did a pretty good job keeping the deer out during those first few crucial weeks of germination. I am pleased with the results and i am planning on breaking new ground for a kill plot in the woods for next season.
  3. I checked that place out back in May and it was AWESOME!!! Im dying to get out there and do it again!

    Acorns

correct me if im wrong, but i thought red oaks produced bi-anually and white oaks produced annually...yield was more dependent on how wet the spring was??? again, could be wrong.

    Acorns

very very few compared to last fall. It could work out better though. Find that one tree dropping nuts and you may be in for a great hunt!
  9. i picked up the all season pack of the code red. It has regular buck & doe pee as well as estrous pee. This will be my first time using code red so i'll share with my results with you guys, if I have results to report about lol.
  10. Nice deer! That last one looks like a fox with his tail pointed toward the cam.
  11. I havent heard anything either. They said the drawing would be held 8/25 and the results emailed to the hunters who were picked.
  12. i recently switched from muzzys to NAP hellrazors and you can get a pack of practice heads. I got the hunting heads and practice heads but they fly the same as the field points anyways. When i was shooting the muzzys I would use old tips and blades for practice and just stiwch them out for new ones when it came time to hunt. Its never too early to shoot your bow with what is eventually going to be shot at an animal.
  13. what a deer! Its amazing what a little age and nutrition will do!
  14. thanks guys he sure is a beauty. This is definitely gonna keep me on stand for the long haul!
  15. phade I completely agree. Same thing happened to me last year with a decent 8 & 9 point. They disappeared when it became time to hunt. If he sticks around then its time to get excited. One more pic. Nice and wide.
  16. thanks for understanding! wow 5000 acres thats some serious room to run around!
  17. no offense redneck but i'd rather keep that a secret. I have a lot of problems with tresspassers and poachers near me so the exact location is disclosed.
  18. It's been about 4 years since we purchased our farm in 4G and we've been practicing QDM and finally its starting to pay off! Im holding off for this guy come fall...
  19. I DID IT IN 2007. KILLED A DOE. SUBMITTED MY APP SO WE'LL SEE.
  20. YEA BABY ANOTHER HALF HOUR AND IM ON THE ROAD TO CAMP. TOOK MONDAY OFF TO HUNT. GOOD LUCK TO ALL THAT GO OUT SUNDAY! IM LOOKING FORWARD TO SOME PICS!
  21. agreed. Like I said, if someone knows your there and busts your setup then thats just rediculous and they deserve to catch an ear full. But if there are no cars and no sign of human activity and theres a bird hammering away, im going after it and so would you.
