    Ok people,stop posting these pics,they are making me feel very insignificant and unlucky. Seems like i am not even hunting the same species,aaaargh. I know there are some really good ones around here as well,but they just dont want to come and visit me when i am in the woods. Maybe this year,things are bound to heat up soon.

    Ok,i was complaining about not seeing much,but your fate is worse for sure. So far i would say you haven't missed much as far a rut activity. Maybe you will be lucky and get a nice buck in the time you do have? All it takes is one good sit.

    any sound that could be a deer,thats why i need to buy so many arrows. I never go with less than 15 per sit.

    I went to a 3d shoot a few years back,they had a station set up where you shot out of a car seat through a car window. It messes with your form,i broke an arrow shooting low. Plus you have to sit in the passenger seat. Just some info,so sneaking out of the truck is highly recommended

    I went for a quick still hunt across the road from my house. I spooked the first deer as i came out of the driveway. Then i made it 80 yds into the woods before spooking the next three. What the heck?

    It is both good and bad. If i am on a stand and constantly scanning the area,my eyes will start playing tricks on me. I think it is good to take a break once in a while. I used to just close my eyes for a bit before i had a smartphone. Now i post nonsense on the live from the woods thread. Deer have a real talent sneaking up,even of you are paying attention. Looking in the opposite direction and poof a deer is 15 yds from the stand in the other.

    It does suck when this happens,but there is always a chance something might go wrong. All you can do is try your hardest to find it,and if you can't then learn from it. No one wants to see a deer suffer,but there are no guarantees.

    Wow,all those bucks would stun me if i saw them in the woods. I would probably drop my bow. Amazing to see what walks around in places,and mid day is crazy. Best of luck with any of them...

    I wish someone would choose stand sites for me. My confidence is at an all time low,but now i am going in expecting nothing,and usually i am right.

    I am not seeing much either. Sat 4 hrs today,zilch. I would be happy to just see deer in the distance,the two fat grey squirrels didn't excite me much.

    Got settled in a brand new spot with my climber on county land here in 4F. Beautiful spot,we will see if anything comes past before dark. I am just happy to be in a tree.

    i think this poor buck really has thyroid issues. He eats greens,but gets fat anyway. Maybe he is just plain lazy,who knows? Looks like he would go 275 dressed,haha.

    There is always an early doe or two,and the bucks would screw in august if the does would stand for it. I think the younger bucks are over eager,but the old ones will be paying close attention by now. I will thaw out the tarsal glands i saved from a stanky doe and a buck from last year very soon,that is all i use for scent attractant. Hasn't really worked for me yet,but i figure it is as natural as it gets.

    Man,i cant wait for the rut to kick in here in 4F. The whole year has been strange,super humid in the summer with a month and a half of no rain. The fall colors were the worst i have ever seen,and apples and acorns are not a good crop this year. Not sure what the deer are eating i guess grass,that grew well this year except for that month and a half.
