wow,what a discrepancy between his rack and body size. Nice rack,skinny frame. Looks not that great on bucks,but I know where i dont mind that combo... Sorry,i could not resist once I typed the previous sentence.

Here is my theory. The apple trees had all that energy from last year and got pollinated well,so made a lot of fruit. Then the season was wet enough to give them enough water to support the apple growth until we ran into the few dry spells we had this year and the trees got seriously dehydrated. Most of my trees dropped almost all their apples,hope there will be some left in October...

I saw a giant doe a few years ago. She walked by and then i saw two deer behind her and I was looking for a buck The followers looked liked babies,i figured her kids from the same year. Nope,one was a decent six point,but he looked small next to her..

I have two for about 350 acres. Not enough,but they dont really help me kill deer. It is exciting too see who is around though,even if it is the middle of the night for the nicer bucks.

Hard to find the older bucks around here,hunting pressure is pretty high and the big ones go almost all nocturnal. A friend saw a monster very late in the gun season crossing the road in front of him,not 300 yds from my house and i hope that one gets foolish this rut...

I cut of the tarsal glands of my buck last year and vacuum sealed them. Have been in my freezer since,and I will bust those out late October,see if the real deal works to piss of one of the older bucks...

This was 28 ish,and i should have worn my gloves. My hands were a little hot and sticky and I think that torques my grip a tad. Still only a little off.

How are you going to do that? You only have a tag for one,the gun buck tag cant be used until gun season.

4F,and i agree on the age. We had two fairly mild winters in a row and I saw a ton of 1 1/2 year olds last year.

missed my target altogether at 31 yds,but the nock was almost all the way out of the back of the arrow. I will blame it on that and am thankful that happened now and not when i shoot at a deer. Weird though,haven't had a problem with the arrows before...

I have a practice muzzy tip and one real one i used for targets and a few that went through a deer. I will practice with all of them this week. I have a black hole target that holds up decent for 29.99

I still have to put up two more hang on's and clear a few spots for my climber. Just can't find the time right now. It will be ready well before November though.

There is a 3 D shoot close to me on the 30th,think i am gonna have to go to that one since I haven't made it to any this year....
