  1. We managed to make a couple batches of pickles and started a veggie stand. The kids loved the stand, made $80 in 4 weeks. Made it out of some scraps i had laying around couldn't imagine they would have made that much. I was hoping just enough to buy some worms for fishing. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  2. As my father used to say young, dumb, and full of c...... I did a lot of stupid stuff but i guess not dumb enough where i wouldn't be talking about it later. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  3. Sounds about right. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  4. There was a sow and cubs in Farmington the other day. Where I'm at South of Watkins I haven't seen one or had any on camera.
  5. I've got one on camera with mom but haven't seen it in a while. Hoping the yotes didn't get it. I'll have to see if I can get it up here. It was a young one that is for sure.
  6. Sweet deer but I'm not a huge non-typical fan. The bases on that thing are insane I can't believe the deer could actually walk around with it on his head.
  7. Guessing it was next to the dump pile of old dead cows making it prime area for yote and fox.
  8. Something I noticed that would help groups is to get a free float handguard. With that it will free float the barrel. I wouldn't be upset with that circled group at 100 yards. That last group looks real close to sub MOA, out of a 16" barrel and semi auto that is a nice group. Some bolt rifles don't shoot that nice.
  9. I use the ceramic stick side every time before I cut something so it is just a few passes and it is like a razor. Anyone looking into the ceramic sticks make sure you get a quality set with the correct angle. I have a set for my filet knives and a set for my kitchen knives. If you try to sharpen a kitchen knife on the filet ceramic it won't do anything to the edge but if you were to sharpen the filet knife on the kitchen knife sharpener you would grind the edge flat dulling it severely.
  10. Pretty sure neither are walking away, the bike passenger might have gotten lucky but the bike rider died on impact. There is no way he didn't snap his neck hitting the car like that. This is the idea of driving faster than your headlights. I have seen many snowmobile accidents at night like this.
  11. I have the lansky knife sharpener it isn't automatic but once it has a nice edge I hit it with the ceramic V sharpener a couple times before use and I rarely have to use the lansky. The only time I have to touch it up with the lansky is when the blade gets a nick. I highly recommend using a wooden or thermoplastic cutting board. My wife likes her glass boards and it dulls the crap out of the knife after cutting 1 thing on it. The problem with the electrics is they take off more material than needed, it isn't a big deal with cheap knives but the more expensive knives won't last as long. I have some de-boning knives that are 2 generations old and are thin from all the sharpening they have had over the years.
  12. Happening right now with my young elderberry trees. I have fencing to put up just need the time to do it.
  13. HOLY F***! That is a giant, something you would see on a farm.
  14. We don't hay off much of our property and the acreage that does they aren't allowed on the property until middle of July. We usually wait until august to chop what fields they don't hay, so no causalities except a rabbit here or there. By mid july the timothy is about 5' tall and the farmer usually gets a pretty good yield. Our hay fields are really clean hay we have no weeds in our fields. I keep telling my father se should hay it ourselves and sell it for horses it's so nice.
  15. Try one of those rubber stall mats for horses, they are heavy/sticky enough you wouldn't need to attach them. They are thick and work great in my FIL side by side bed. Only down side is they off gas for a while so leave it in the weather for a good week if you are bothered by the smell.
  16. I brake for animals but not putting myself in danger. I always get a kick out of people slamming brakes for a squirrel. On 2 instances this week I saw 2 almost accidents from people slamming their brakes for a squirrel.
  17. Because the Governor needs a raise.
  18. Yup our cottage was that way it looks like a pile from the outside because of the siding but is completely updated inside. We bought it condemned and completely gutted it to the studs. Replaced everything except the shell and the kitchen cabinets. They came through and reassessed us for double and the exterior didn't change. We are only assessed for $56k for the front lot. Looks like a pile but at least our taxes are low. They built a shell around the existing trailer and then built an addition on the end for the dining room, living room and kitchen. Wow that's insane.
  19. Pictures, smell amazing and look very nice. The mrs. wants to transplant some next to the garage. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  20. Very nice we have some wild Rhododendrons growing by the house. The last week we have come home and have our house smelling like a floral bouquet.
  21. Yeah every night we have 2 around the house and 2 more up on the food plot about 100 yards from the house. The dogs usually keep them out of the yard but they are all over. They seem to disappear when it comes time to hunt them.
  22. Holy crap what kind of homes do they have on the bay? I'm up near the St. Lawrence and our property taxes on 50' of waterfront are around $3500 for 2 lots one that is just over an acre right behind our cottage lot.
