Yeah our previous house had $4k in taxes it was 1/3 of an acre with houses on all sides. Also had the highway close enough where you could barely carry on a conversation in the backyard. I'm happy to be where I am even with the higher taxes, we plan on leaving once we retire to a more northern area near my parents probably still in NY though.

I think we talked before and in your location it is similar to other areas in Steuben. I'm in Chemung and have a similar setup (new garage/barn next year). I figure we will be right around $8k in taxes in Chemung County with a 3000 sq.ft. house. You could move to another area where taxes aren't as bad. I don't blame you for wanting to leave.

Mixture of Zuchs and summer squash. I plan on canning some zucchini relish and the rest just canned for consumption in the winter months. We plan on doing Zucchini Zoodles basically noodles made from zucchini or squash. It is much healthier and we won't need to buy spaghetti pasta anymore. We will still use elbows and such but we like our pasta and this is a low carb way of making spaghetti. Edit: My wife informed me there were only 12 Zucchs and squash. The others are acorn and butternut squash.

We put in a nice sized garden up at or cottage. I'm now shopping around for some drip irrigation. 3 30' rows of corn corn 3 30' rows of snap beans 12 tomato plants, 15 summer squash/zucchini only 6 bell peppers. Adding cantaloupe, and watermelon. If you put a thumbhole stock on it you must register it.

If they did have to come and put all animals down and not allowed to use said land there should be a tax exemption for those years that it can not be used at a minimum. Should also be reimbursed on lost revenue. It happens with livestock and no offense it is basically the same thing you're raising animals for harvest, no different than a beef farm. Same would happen with mad cow outbreak on a farm.

What's sad is that it's happening more and more. No one wants to work for what they want. I have 2 younger sisters and sister in law that have had everything handed to them guess who has an education, job, homes, vehicles. Being given everything they have no sense of responsibility and feel that if they want something they should just be given it. Gotta thank mom for that BS. My oldest sister does have a home now but one her BF bought, if it weren't for him she wouldn't have a pot to piss in.

I couldn't agree more. The .300 B.O. round was intended to be shot subsonic using cans. Kind of useless for us here in NY. Although the Subsonic round would be nice for popping yotes out the back window of the house and not waking up the neighbors and kids.

No I was referring to the OP with the questions. I'll admit I'm a shooter in many people's eyes. For me deer hunting is all about the challenge. If I have a rifle I want a challenge and don't setup right on deer so I have to take a longer shot that are more challenging for me. When I'm bowhunting I setup right on the deer as there are many more variables that effect success other than range. Not to mention the range is much more limited with my bow.

In my area they won't harass you unless they get complaints of someone shooting too close to a house or something of that extent. I have talked to some of the locals and troopers in our area about it. They have said that if they want to check it they will look at the mag size and then press the mag release button. IF nothing happens (mag stays put) then you're good. If you explain that it is a .450/.458 and that you can only fit the 10 should understand. My SIL boy friend is a town cop and has no clue about guns other than the pistols he carries along with how to operate the guns in their arsenal. So if he stopped someone he wouldn't have a clue about it. He has told me that he has told people to cover it up after he has pulled them over. He also asks them to step out of the car if it is in plain sight. Back to the OP I think the .450/.458 would make a killer deer gun if you want DRT kind of results. I think there are a few others that will also give you those results in smaller calibers. The Rem. 6.8 SPC is a good round. .300 blackout would make a good deer round. All these would be 200-300 yards or less effective range. I mean if they can take a hog at those ranges then it shouldn't have a problem taking a deer. 6.5 creedmore and Grendel are also great rounds and will reach out a lot further. I don't think the .450/.458 out past 200 will be as accurate as the smaller faster cartridges although it has a better B.C. than some. What is your end goal? Long range? Short Range? Both? Accuracy and precision? At what range can you be accurate?

I get that but I'm saying is that it wouldn't be high capacity if it was paired with the .450/.458 upper. High capacity is defined as holding more than 10 rounds. So if you can only fit 10 rounds it is not high capacity. Now if you were to do something illegal like load it with 5.56/.223 rounds then it would be considered high capacity. The only way to guarantee to not get your ass in a bind is to use 10rnd. mag and only hold 5 of the .450/.458

Yup, there in lies the issue.

You would think it is, but I wouldn't put it past the state to charge a person for it, BUT if it is a fixed mag style gun then with the .450 upper attached they wouldn't have a leg to stand on. The problem is when it's detachable so going featureless with detachable mag could get you in a lot of trouble.

I have sign back in my food plot of some little ones. Their prints are about 1" long in the mud. My son thought it was pretty cool and thinks I have to throw up my cams.
