  1. Sorry...He is to busy at the moment: Cuomo unveiled the state's latest efforts to assist the hurricane-battered U.S. territory during a news conference in Manhattan, vowing to send teams of volunteers in June to help rebuild homes and remediate mold. About 500 SUNY and CUNY students will work alongside building and construction trade workers to make up the bulk of the volunteer teams, Cuomo said. They will work two- or four-week stints and gain college credits in return. Any student at any SUNY school from any major can apply to participate, according to a SUNY spokeswoman. Further details "will be forthcoming," she said. “They (the students) will receive credit for their time, their service in Puerto Rico," Cuomo said. "They will be in courses and training and education that is related to the reconstruction of housing and infrastructure and aided by the professionals." https://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/news/politics/albany/2018/04/19/suny-students-college-credit-puerto-rico/532087002/
  2. Just once I would like to hear a politician/elected official explain what he or she is doing to save taxpayers money and to reduce spending. All any of them want to do including our local governments is find more ways to spend more money and then cry about the fact that they don't have enough money to operate and the increasing deficit. With out a revolution nothing is going to change and if anything will get worse.
  3. We put dryer sheets, lava soap, which is suppose to be good, and moth balls in our camper when we closed it up for the winter a couple of years and they chewed on the soap and made nests with the dryer sheets in addition to chewing on the canvas. Since using Fresh Cab we have not had any damage and haven't even found turds in the camper. We find it at Runnings and Tractor Supply usually has a good supply. I have heard dryer sheets a number of times and we spread a whole box plus and still found them in it. Haven't opened it up yet this year so I can't say it is a 100% but for the last two years we have been good.
  4. They will make a nest out of them give them to the wife:

    Challenge

It doesn't matter what the species is......a horny male is more apt to trip up and make a mistake than a female. Plus the fact there are more does than bucks.
  9. I have posted this before but not many paid attention. Available at Tractor Supply and Runnings:
  10. The days of buying "good " batteries are over. If you are lucky you will get two years out of the new ones for mowers atv's etc. I pull my out every fall (except four-wheeler) charge them and keep them in a warm basement and check them from time to time over winter and still ended up buying three new ones last year. I finally invested in one of the to keep me going when I want to go.
  11. You can get ratcheting straps about anywhere. I usually pick them up at Harbor freight because they have a good selection and are relatively inexpensive. Even if they don't have exactly what you are looking for in length etc. they can always be modified to fit your needs
  12. Patients seems to be lacking everywhere and I think it is something that needs to be learned and can't be taught.
  13. Sounds like a great time. Hope you take some boots...just in case.

  16. Short for the "NO RIFLE ASSOCIATION" http://time.com/5248072/nora-coalition-celebrities-nra/ 'The Time Is Now.' This New Coalition of Celebrities and Activists Just Pledged to Take on the NRA A new coalition of celebrities and activists, including actor Alyssa Milano and Parkland student David Hogg, announced plans Friday to take on the National Rifle Association and elected officials who accept money from the powerful gun advocacy group. In an open letter to NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre, which was first obtained by TIME, the more than 100 members of the newly formed NoRA Initiative — short for No Rifle Association — pledge to reduce the NRA’s influence in American politics through a series of voter registration drives, nationwide art campaigns, demonstrations and boycotts. NoRA launched its initiative Friday, on the 19th anniversary of the mass shooting at Columbine High School, as students across the country participated in a national school walkout in part to commemorate the 1999 massacre. NoRA’s members include Jimmy Kimmel, Amy Schumer, Alec Baldwin, Ashley Judd, Julianne Moore, Patton Oswalt, Constance Wu, W. Kamau Bell, Amber Tamblyn, Debra Messing, Minnie Driver, Tarana Burke, as well as several artists, policy experts and survivors of gun violence. They say their goal is expose public servants who have been stymying gun control legislation after taking money from the NRA. NoRA believes it can use grassroots and digital awareness campaigns to help vote those legislators out of office.
  17. And now we are going to have this to deal with: Students across the United States are standing up against gun violence. On April 20 this year, the 19th anniversary of the Columbine High School massacre, community leaders plan to continue the momentum from previous days of action to call on Congress to end violence and introduce legislation aimed at protecting young people. Two key movements have sprung up around the date: one advocating for a walkout, and another for an in-school day of action. How to Follow The National School Walkout movement plans to post updates for its 130,000 followers on Twitter, while movement founder Lane Murdock will also provide updates for her 5,000 followers. The walkout is using the hashtag #NationalSchoolWalkout to share updates. The National Day of Action organizers are encouraging people to sign up to receive updates about the day’s activities, and check the local area for what community organizers are planning. https://www.inverse.com/article/43707-april-20-school-walkout-day-of-action

  19. You are absolutely right....That's all it would have taken to keep him out but everyone sat back on their haunches. I hope if nothing else they learned not to take anything for granted and to get out and do the right thing next time. We have no one to blame but ourselves.
  20. I really love his interpretation of WOP meaning without papers: The Merriam-Webster dictionary states wop's first known use was in the United States in 1908, and that it originates from the Southern Italian dialectal term guappo, roughly meaning thug, pimp, or swaggerer, derived from the Spanish term guapo, meaning handsome, via dialectal French, meaning ruffian or pimp.[2][3] It also has roots in the Latin vappa, meaning wine gone flat.[2]
