  3. What kind of price tag comes with that? So you can shoot broadheads into it? I thought you could only shoot fieldpoints into most? Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  4. My boy and I have been shooting the same block target now for 2 seasons and the target is beginning to get worn out and we decided how much more realistic and fun it would be to shoot at a life like target so we are beginning to shop for 3-D deer targets.I have heard stories from people that I know with them and done enough research online to know that they come in all different sizes, prices and quality. Some of the negatives I'm hearing about some of them is they are way to small, the replaceable vitals don't fit properly, arrows don't remove easily and that they are made so cheap that one shot off target could snap off the cheaply made legs.I don't want to break the bank for one but would like to find one of decent quality for around $150 any advice? Also do you have to buy one of the stands they sell, or would the steaks that come with them be enough to keep it upright?and how long typically does the vital section last before it needs replacing? 7. I like to be around 15 to 20 ft I think at that height you can get away with a little more movement as long as you have some cover Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  8. Nice buck, good luck with him Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  9. Try to keep my head in the game like grampy was saying but on extremely slow days I will break out the phone! Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  10. My advice would be to walk through slowly making minimal noise but wear lots of Orange.I would rather have that than someone rushing through the woods making all kinds of noise. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  11. Welcome back I to lost my mother to cancer about 10 yrs ago so I know how devistating it can make you feel. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  12. If its early season I may let a small buck walk as long as I have meat in the freezer the farther into the season the less picky I become. I have never hunted just one particular buck. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  13. Didn't shoot to bad at first the first picture is my group at 20yrds the second my first shot at 30 and the 3rd my first shot at 40 but these were some of my better arrows went downhill later on. I think I don't now when to quit sometimes as I only usually get a chance to shoot once a week so when I do I try to shoot to many arrows and towards the end of my shoot my form begins to fall apart. 15. I've worked 3rd shift a lot I got used to sleeping during the day after awhile.I like it for hunting as you can get up for evening hunts, and when the kids were in school I didn't mind it cause I would be waking up about the time they came home and they were asleep before I left at night.Nice in cool in the mill tonight! 16. I picked my trail cam up Friday and got quite a few pictures but no bucks just does and fawns. I would like to think at some point a big boy will show up! Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  17. Nice shot Jeremy! Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  18. Thanks for the offer but like Biz I am in 2 other leagues. I also would not have been able to attend the draft as I work second shift that week and the draft is a huge part of it. I think you newbies to fantasy football will have a blast it's a lot of fun! Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  19. Alfred Morris and Dak looked awesome they beat up on my Dolphins! Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  20. Discoverd this evening as I was retrieving my trail cam from my private 70 acre lot that I have permission to hunt that my nephews hang on that he left there since last season has been stolen. I have an idea it's the guy who leases the fields on the property for growing corn but I don't know how I will prove it.The stand sat back in the brushline about 10yards looking over one of the corn fields. This is the second stand that has been stolen in the 12 year span I have been hunting the property.I guess it's time to buy more trail cams and not only scout for deer but also scout for trespassers! 21. Correction the stainless -06 is toped with the leupold vx1 that you guys helped turn me onto the rest of the rifles have prostaffs Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  22. I started out with a bolt action wood stock Remington in 308 that I bought used at a gun show, I chose the 308 because that's was the caliber of my dad's favorite rifle. I don't remember the exact model because I was young back then and didn't pay close attention to the model. I inherited my dads favorite rifle a few years later when he past away and that was a Winchester 308 semiautomatic with a beautiful wood engraved stock, once again I am not sure of the exact model. I hunted with that mostly for the next 10 yrs until it was stolen along with a few other guns I had accumulated when my house was burglarized. It sucks you can never replace things like that.Since then I have had an assortment of guns come and go. I currently have 2 Ruger Americans(i don't think you can be them for the price) one in 243 with the blued barrel the other is a 30-06 in stainless both toped with Nikon 3-9-40 prostaffs.I also have a Reminton 7600 weather master in 308, and a Mossberg Patriot in 270 Woodstock. I also have a cva wolf muzzleloader. I like to alternate guns from year to year and plan to carry my stainless 30-06 this year while I let my friends son who I have been teaching to hunt over the last cpl years and is now 14 carry the 243.
