  1. Sounds like good advice my problem is I live in the city where you are not supposed to be shooting bows I have about a 10 min drive to my sister in laws house where I plan to do my practicing not that far but not as handy as walking out your back door.Im a country boy stuck in the city! I do like the thought of concentrationing hard on your first arrow as that likely will be the one that countsSent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  2. Finally got a chance to dust of the bow yesterday evening. my first few arrows were a little off I think due to my form being a little rusty ( haven't shot since last year) but about 6 arrows in I was shooting pretty well for me.I only shot at 20 yrds yesterday figuring I would start out close for the first few sessions getting my form back then eventually move out to 40 yards which is about as far as I feel comfortable at. I plan to shoot at least twice a week from here till bow season.I am shooting a Mission Venture with a 60# to 70# pull set at 64 pounds with a 28" draw.Last year was my first season hunting with a bow in a long time I used to bow hunt years ago but got out of it till last year when my son's interest in it resparked my interest and we both bow hunted last year niether of us having any luck getting a deer in bow range then again last year was a bad year overall with my son and I only getting 2 dear combined during rifle season.Since I am relatively new to bow hunting I am open to any suggestions or advice. We both can't wait to get are first shot at a deer, friends we hunt with say you will remember your first bow harvest way more than any you've gotten with a rifle. When do you all start practicing for the season? Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
