You won't send them a bill cause your a good person. Anyone who does free labor for permission to hunt is a real person. I trade my services for a small 40 acre plot I hunt and the owner always wants to give me money and tells me I can do anything on his land cut trees plant food plots he don't care. If I were you I'd wait for the next big snow fall and snow blow a path to there door and hand them a spoon and say get shoveling f#*~ers!!

I would add up all the hours spent there and charge a rate of $65 an hour. Then see if money matters..

Sorry to all but I've been watching this thread and can't bite my tongue anymore. I don't understand what is with all the younger deer being shot here. The DEC had an article this year called LET THEM GO AND LET THEM GROW. Now I'm sure you have your reasons and you have the right when you purchased the license. I don't know I'm just venting cause my I'd like to see NYS have more and bigger deer and I know the shotgun hunters don't give a hoot so it's up to the bow hunters to be responsible. That's all I hope I don't ruffle anyone's feathers

I have both the fall grey and the green deseption. The pattern are awesome and wore them hard and handled the washing everytime for a year now. However i would say order them larger than normal if your going to layer under. I found out they are not that warm at all. Made with just material with no warm and fuzzy insulation at all. Just my opinion.

You guys are right and It was the wrong choice of words. I have taken deer with a shotgun just not with the bow. Not many deer with the gun as you guys Im guessing but have tasted that feeling. Its the bow thats giving me the skunk ball. All I was saying is I would like to see more 8's and 10's walking around. Dont feel like playing keyboard commando so im done with this discussion.

I have to say that me personally dont agree with this entirely. I have never shot a deer with a bow and this year could have shot about 15 of them. I know the deer that are on my property and would like to practice quality deer management. I also try to talk to my surrounding neighbors on getting on board with the same idea. Now there are alot of 4 to 6 point bucks so taking a couple out would be good. I just cringe when I drive down the road and see button bucks and fawn like does hanging from the tree. Those deer are a dime a dozen and can be killed with little effort in my area, so I know its everyones right to go with the " if its brown its down" mentality but where is the sport in that. Well thats just my 2 cents and Im sure I will here it but I bet people would agree with me to. Lets just be safe doing what we love to do.

This is strange cause I was seeing some the first couple weeks in october. Had to step on them till they take off and scare the hell out of me.

Im in 9f, I was hunting in the town of Clarence. I even saw one of the does walking with her tail sticking strait out releasing her smell with one of the bucks right behind her. I cant get over this. I was so pumped just watching this all happen cause you only see it on T.V. Before this property I was only able to hunt state land and never had deer feel comfortable enough to act like this for so long.

Went to work this morning and had this feeling I wish I was hunting. I went on lunch break and saw a monster 10 point right on the side of the road standing there with a doe. I said thats it and rushed home to grab my gear and head out to my hunting grounds. Sat in the stand at 2;00 and a half hour i see a doe walking followed by another doe followed by a nice buck. For 2 hour I watched 12 deer total in this thick mess with all sorts of grunting and chassing going on all around me it was awesome just to sit there. I managed to get a shot off at a small 6 and missed. the arrow went low right under his legs. Now i need to buy a range finder to the list. Already broke down and got a trail cam this year. I thought my night was over but the other deer stayed there the entire time. The Rut is on and they dont care whats going. This is awesome!!!! I cant wait till Sat I hope the action is the same.
