  1. Thanks. I was taken aback by how bloody tough it was on us. Me. She knew her time was near and left me her Last Will & Testament.
  2. Didn't think it was possible to cry this much. R.I.P. Birch.
  3. I have an earlier version of your pack and the net ring seems to be in the right spot. Looking at your pic, it seems that between the carabiner, magnet, whatever is under the magnet, and cord, it could all be a little tighter and cleaner. A retractable gear keeper may help. Okay. It seems that your sling comes with a net pocket that you can just slide the net into. What's that like?
  4. I like that tippet caddy. Did you use the bungy keeper on the water bottle? That should keep it tight. And a retractable net keeper should hold the net higher on your back.
  5. I might check those hooks for rust and sharpness.
  6. But then the other anglers will snicker behind his back, "all net, no fish."
  7. Nice net. Only the finest fish are worthy.
  8. It easily swing around. The only thing I don’t like is that tippet gets caught up in the gear as you’re tying on a fly when it’s facing front.
  9. These slings are well regarded: https://vedavoo.com/product-category/packs/ I use this: https://www.orvis.com/orvis-sling-pack/25FR-Family.html
  10. Watched it earlier tonight: "Today is a good day to die."
  11. I have every type of system and they all have their uses or are a pain in the ass. Lately, it's been a sling. No advice, other than to say a free vest sounds like a deal.
  12. Superfeet is having a 25% off sale. Could be something there. https://www.superfeet.com/en-us/
  13. Anyone know a good knife sharpener within a reasonable distance from Delhi in Delaware county? My 1000/6000 water stone is just not getting an edge on this Damascus blade. Prefer someone who could do it by hand. Thanks.
  14. For what it's worth, my property and the surrounding was cut by someone who was trying to get as much money out as they could before they sold. It's a disaster.
  15. Traveller to TSA agent, "Wait, I can't bring these cuban cigars home? What are you going to do with them." "We're going to burn them, sir. Slowly."
  16. I had to go back into the airport, find a post office and mail myself my swiss army knife once. Had it for a long time and wasn't about to lose it. And then there was the time I forgot I had a cigar cutter in my pocket at the Singapore airport. A cigar cutter that used to be a .44 calibre round. They were not amused.
  17. There's obviously going to be a transition period, as there was when it all began. People and large and small businesses will figure it out. "Owning" a 16-year-old kid who's just doing what they're told to do is a little lame. Are you guys walking back with all your bags like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman?
  18. I can't speak about new line, but the old line should be cut up and recycled at a store or dock. Here are a few resources: https://www.bassmaster.com/conservation-news/recycling-resources-disposing-your-fishing-line
