I'll be targeting these fish this year,so far everything I've read says worm,hook and bobber are the way to go,but can i use lures with consistent results? i picked up a few micro lures to give a shot.I have caught a few as a bi-catch bass fishing.They seem to be a very aggressive fish. I plan on keeping a few for the frying pan,I never had them before.

Normally i turkey hunt the third week it's always been good for me in the southern zone,now i hunt up in the ADK's first three years where successful last year was a dud,so i'm going up for opening week can't change vacations so i'm going.There's 3 to 5" of snow with more on the way.I never turkey hunted in the snow and have no clue what to look for or where and how to set up? i went up last week to scout but it was almost impossible to get around and i didn't see any birds.What are some of the tactics that you guys/girls have used in snowy conditions? I've been google searching but not much out there. BTW my brother saw a gobbler with a white bread here on long island yesterday he's going to try and get a picture of it.

I've hunted them quit a few times and seen the damage a few pigs can do overnight to a food plot.Not even the outfitters like them and would rather have better deer,quail and turkey population then pigs.They eat everything the ADK's doesn't have much going on as far a nutritional food as it is.Releasing pigs up there would destroy what little is there.Then they'd head south and destroy that too.They'll survive there Russian boar.

You have to keep in mind this was in THERE test barrel every gun is a little different.No two guns are the same each one has it's sweat spot.That's why it's better to work up to a desired load.You might find that your gun likes 51.0 instead of the 51.5.I personally load 10 rounds at the starting load and go up .5 grains until i get a tight group. but that's how i was taught.

don't the spurs slip or come off ? i had a few on a string and kept finding the spur on the floor,so i gave up after awhile.

My father gave me an Ithaca deerslauer 20 ga. Never shot it was in his safe. He bought it for my sister who had no interest in guns or hunting. It’s a nice little gun I’m going to use it for small game.
