  1. Oh geeze, its almost that time already? Thanks for the reminder! I have a whole new set of trees to do this year! I wont be expanding my setup or anything, just doing what I can with what I have.
  2. You should NEVER scan with your rifle. Basic gun safety. All you really need for a scan light is a good headlamp, then mount a more powerful kill light on your rifle. Find the eye shine with your headlamp, and then get it in the scope and hit the kill light when you are ready.
  3. Crazy that it was only 3 1/2. FSW would probably love to get ahold of some of that buck's DNA.
  4. These are the ropes/straps I am talking about.
  5. I have ropes on my ladder stands that go from the tree side of the seat, cross over the back of the tree and then are tied off on each side of the ladder near the bottom. Gives enough support to climb up/down to put the ratchet straps on. I do all of my ladder stands on my own, except two man stands, they are too heavy.
  6. You can file all the lawsuits you want for whatever you want. Doesnt mean you will win, or that the court will even hear the case.
  7. You dont get a new card. Years ago when Livingston County went from paper cards to the plastic ones, they didnt make me pay anything for the new one.
  8. lol, I want to keep my handguns. They know I have them.
  9. I just did mine online, no fee and it took 10 mins. Pretty simple and straight forward.
  10. I got ahold of a road killed deer (yes, I got a tag for it) this past week and added it to what little bit of a bait pile I had left out back. My daughter and I got some trail cams for christmas, so I set those up nearby on photo mode as well as one of my black flash Coverts right near the deer on video mode. Im hoping to start getting some good pics/videos soon.
  11. I have a 308 with a brake, has about the same recoil as my 223. Its louder than all get out, but it doesnt have much recoil at all.
  12. Yeah I thought so at first, but got over it after I shot one and couldnt stop putting holes in the center of the target.
  13. HAHAHAHA, its pretty much the trifecta of your favorites. Variable scope, stainless and Encore
  14. Come on Dan, you know it looks good....
  15. Sure do, along with ARs and variable scopes
  16. The Beretta Neos may be a little strange looking, but they are very accurate, and versitile with the interchangable barrels. I love mine.
  17. Selling my Flextone Echo HD ER1 e-caller. Works perfectly, and in next to new condition. includes remote and charging cable. $75 shipped
  18. Post up pics of your 2016 - 2017 Predator kills here! Only pictures with the associated story will be allowed in this thread. If you want to congratulate someone, please do it by clicking on the "like this" button for the post. There will be no exceptions. Feel free to start a new thread if you wish to have comments in addition to posting the photo / story here.
  19. 20 minutes? I stay on mine for 45 minimum, and have had coyotes come out right around that time frame. They like to hang back just inside tree lines or brush for a while alot of the time. Foxes on the other hand, usually come barreling in as soon as they can. We used to do 20-30 min stands and only ever killed fox. Started staying longer, and the yotes started appearing. Wind is crucial. If you can get someone to run the call for you, have them call from about 50 to 75 yards behind you. The only problem with this, is that it can be tougher to see the eye shines, as they may not be looking directly at you when they come in. Dont just go at night, dusk and dawn are great times. Even daytime hunts in low pressured spots can be good.
  20. You can get an IR intensifier (for lack of the correct term) for those scopes that extend your view pretty far. Personally, Id like to get one when I build another coyote rig, but I doubt Id use it to scan with. Thats what a good spotlight is for. Find them with the spotlight (eye reflections), then hone in with the night vision scope.
  21. HAHA, just text me and let me know when you want to meet up.
  22. Ill take the WGI viewer and the SG520 if it doesnt sell
