Its still there. Just tap on the weather portion of the info box and scroll down a bit.

Stop with the energy argument. Did you read the article? It plainly stated what the KE was when it hit the target. A paper plate is what you have to hit, that isnt exactly precision. If you dont feel comfortable with a shot, then dont take it. If you do, and you have practiced it, then go for it. Id rather see someone that routinely shoots at long range, take a broadside shot at a calm deer, feeding with its head down, or looking away, than see someone who routinely practices at 40 yards take a hard quartering to shot at a deer 15 yards away. Didnt you just say that you werent saying taking those shots was wrong? Now you are saying they are wrong. Cant have it both ways.

Its already pinned

That stuff is no biggie, its actually sterile and doesnt smell at all. Its just sticky like tar.

Yeah the way the other stands disappear is a little annoying. I like the other new features better though. If its locking your phone up, Id make sure you have the newest OS on your phone, then reinstall the app.

I like it because its easier to look at the details for each stand location. I can also add in camera sites and all that too. What are you having trouble with?
-
I like it better now.

Our rule of thumb is, if you cant see 3 of them from the other side of the line at all times, we need to add more. Along the road we space them out further.

Damn it!

We use the first available tree, or a post as close to the line as we can get without going over. On properties with lines that butt up against any public access type land, I put a second row 10 or 20 yards in from the first so there is no mistaking it. One spot I hunt butts up to some public land, and theres no mistaking that line lol. We put the name of the farm on them, no addresses. Last year we were late in getting our signs checked and the ones by the road put up, and we actually drove up on a guy in a climber on our land. It was the first or second weekend of bow season. He was about 30 yards into the property, over the line from the state land. He said he thought the line was elsewhere. There was a posted sign, in the second row of signs, 3 feet away from the tree he was in. I was less than nice about it, since the posted sign was right there. He didnt see any deer that day, and extra posted signs went up in the area. We also know his truck now, and make sure to patrol the line whenever we see it. He hasnt been a problem since that day.

Please do! She looks delicious! Seriously though, we see it alot on our farms, Once in a while they have them during bow season, but I have never seen them on a deer by the time gun rolls around.

Honestly, the one making the fool of themselves in this case is you. You are calling others "know it all types" and then turn around and nit pick about half year age callouts and say people that dont say that are idiots. Good gravy.

Post it immediately after closing, and get a couple of light weight single man ladder stands. They wont be exceptionally comfortable, but they are very easy to move by yourself. Do some scouting, and set the stands, then watch what unfolds, and move your stands accordingly. This year will be more like scouting with your crossbow in hand, and this winter should be heavy scouting, while the sign from the fall is still visible. By the time season starts next year, you should be pretty well prepared. Save buying bigger, more permanent stands for down the road. JMO. I would also start wind mapping it right off the bat. Bring some bubble stuff out with you, and blow bubbles in different areas under different wind conditions, and watch where the bubbles go. Take lots of notes. The better you know how the wind will act on the place, the smarter you can hunt it in the future. Congrats to your dad and you on the land!

As far as I know, they arent available at all yet

Lobbed a softball out there just for you.

Ive killed a bunch with iron sights and a bead on a shotgun. Open sights on my first 2 muzzleloader deer too. I have my iron sight Marlin 30-30 that I take out on drives, but havent had an opportunity at a deer with it yet. Maybe this year.

Just wait till you have some orange and green tie dye looking baby poop on your hand because the baby kicked its diaper and now you have to catch its leg as it kicks it around covered in the tie dye mess. A little blood and guts wont be a big deal at all.
-
Why? Its localized to the skin, and will fall off, probably before you even see her. Youll likely not know it if you kill her.
-
Certainly looks like it may be the same buck, and Id say at least 2 in 2013, so hes at least 5 this year. Id shoot him. Good luck!

Get a muff and some hot packs, and forget about gloves. The only pair I use are some thin ones that I have for bow season. Once it gets cold, I just use my muff.

All I said was that Ive only ever known one person that had a negative reaction to it. I never said only one person on earth has. Dont you have someone to pull the race card on or a flashlight to sell?

I just order it online, that way theres no worries about printers, lines, etc. I get mine in the mail in 2 or 3 days.

I made my own version of these this past weekend. I used red and yellow peppers instead of the banana peppers, and added a few slices of jalapeno to each one. They were awesome.

I have the itch as well. Really trying to resist hunting the first two weeks. My dayghter has it too, she has told me multiple times that we need to go this weekend. Now we have a bear on the place, and Id love to shoot a bear, I just dont want to put pressure on the bucks when I cant even hunt them. Decisions decisions.
