  1. 63lbs for me on a 60# bow (cranked down they will go a little heavier than advertised). I can draw that smoothly and with the let of, holding it is no problem.
  2. moose, best way to post video is to create a Photobucket account, and upload it there. Once you do that, copy/paste the link to the forum and viola!
  3. Holy smokes that big guy is a damn horse!
  4. Moog, theres a guy in Honeoye, right on CR 37 that sells mulch hay by the bale. Runs you $3.50 each. He is about 1 1/2 mile south of the junkyard at the corner of CR 37 and Richmond Mills Rd. Its the first farm house on the left. His name is Carl.
  5. I use BH209 and Federal Shotgun Primers. Works very well.
  6. Again, they did it with the safe act during a legislative session, under the guise of an emergency action. That is not happening with this one. I can understand your worry, but its not the same situation.
  7. Heres a good idea of how many you can get in a standard cabinet smoker by folding them over the racks like Culver is saying. I cant remember how many lbs it was.
  8. No, thats not what was said. The Safe act was pushed through in less than 2 days, during an active legislative session. We are not in an active session right now, and this was first proposed months ago. What are you going to do? Go revolutionary over a bill that hasnt passed anything? Come on, use your head. Write your reps, its the only thing you can do at this point.
  9. Most people figured the safe act would be shot down on its absurdity as well.
  10. No, microstamping was where the firing pin of the gun stamped a number into the primer. There was also no limit on how long you could keep ammo. This is a whole new ball of wax.
  11. Thats nothing Doc, a 7 pin "Hogg-Father" with fiber wrap is $470
  12. Its not a law, it would have to pass the senate, assembly and governors desk first, as well as go through all of the committees. Dont get your feathers ruffled yet, just start writing letters.
  13. That wont be the case with the larger stores, you can bet on that. Inventory will be just like BPS/Cabelas. Phade is right, Dicks knows what they are doing.
  14. Im seeing a ton more 2.5s, and some of them are really looking nice this year. A couple of older bucks here and there. Antlers on the older guys seems pretty much on par for my area though.
  15. Me too, like a 145-150ish 8 point at 25 yards dead broadside....ugh, I had to remind myself again! Time to go kick my own ass.....
  16. good thing you said recipe virgil
  17. So we ended up borrowing a Kubota RTV 900 and a cutting disc from someone and we broke ground on plots 4 and 2 on this past Saturday. Plot 4 has been planted in a mix of rape, hog radish, annual red clover (not sure of the exact type off hand) and chickory. Plot 2 is going to be a mix of feed oats and hog radish, and should be planted this week or weekend. We will also be breaking ground on plots 1 and 3 this weekend. Feels like we are down to the wire here lol. Plot 4 took 5 hours with the disc, 6 complete passes, to get it busted up. Next year the plan is to disc it up early in the spring and plant something in there, then bust it up again in the later summer for the fall planting. After that, it should be no biggie. Plot 2 was easy in the areas that had been pushed out, but the grasses and sod were thick in the brush hogged spots. That one is going to have to go through the same process as plot 4 next year. Plot 1 is gonna be the same, but plot 3 should be a cake walk. We have decided that we are not going to bother with a tiller, we are going to pick up a 6 or 8 foot 3 point cutting disc instead. Much simpler and less expensive to operate. Add a sprayer and cultipacker to the list of tools and we will be good to go.
  18. We put this thread up each year for people that want to swap or give away their DMPs. The rules are simple, keep it legal, no selling of tags, and you can only accept a total of 2 DMPs signed over to you.

  20. Rifles in Ontario have buried my slug gun at this point. I use my muzzle loader most of the time now, but still grabbed the shotty for drives. Not no more! 30-30 lever action with irons will take over drive duty.
  21. Take a look at the Beretta NEOS U22. Less money than the Ruger and damned accurate. I have one with the 6" barrel and its a real shooter.
