Guys, any buck raised on a farm or shot on a preserve cannot be entered into B&C. There are records for deer hunted in preserves, but those records are kept by SCI. That deer wasnt even close to world record size when it comes to SCI and or deer farm standards.

It took me a long time to figure out Avon (cosmetics co) wasnt pronounced ave-on like the town. lol

I have both bow and ML and what they give you is an either sex and an antlerless. Im thinking that if you buy one at a time (bow 1st then ML), you get the either sex with your bow license and the additional antlerless with the ML license. Again, thats what I think they will do. deerthug, let us know what you get when you add the ML license.

If you didnt purchase the ML license, you dont have it. It doesnt go with the bow license. It should say on your license exactly what you have. Sportsman + bow does not have ML. Super Sportsman has ML. Ive never bought just the bow license, so Im not sure how those tags are marked.

It was just the regular sportsman plus bow? Then you are going to have to get the ML license. BTW, to save money down the road, just get the Super Sportsman from here on out of you will ML hunt each year.

One of the members asked if we could figure out a way to do a deer take survey, then compare to what the DEC numbers look like. We realize this comparison wont be exact, but might be something fun to look at. In this thread please post what you have harvested this season only. Please include sex of the deer and what WMU it was harvested in. Also include what weapon was used for each animal. In the interest of keeping it easy to tally up the numbers, lets try to refrain from chit chat in the thread and pictures are not necessary. Ill leave this post open until February 1st 2012, at which time it will be locked and the numbers summed up on another thread. Thanks

Im right with ya. Most of the other guys on the farm are done, and probably wont show this weekend. Thats just fine by me, the fewer, the better! Hopefully Hayrake makes one more appearance, and Ill do my best to make it his last!

Good for you, glad to hear they pinched them. You should have had a video camera out with you and recorded the hunter harassment so they could get nailed for that as well.

Right, plus the 5% figure is state wide, and you cant compare the fingerlakes and WNY region to the rest of the state. I know plenty of guys that shoot 2 bucks per year.

I sure would be nervous to be one of the unlucky unguided hunters on Guiles, that $5000 penalty would probably keep me form shooting anything but a super wide and heavy buck. Id rather just have a guide so he can tell me which ones I can shoot lol.

The gun is now available. Ill be breaking it down and cleaning it this weekend. Ill get some detailed pics when I do and post them.
