  1. You should be asking these questions in their own threads under the proper sections.
  2. Like I said, keep your Java, etc updated and turn your popup blocker on in your browser. I would actually go so far as to say stop using Internet Explorer and download Firefox or Chrome.
  3. We find it on the farm all the time. Theres a decent sized creek that runs through the farm and when it goes over the banks, it deposits all kinds of crap on the land. Tires, bottles, plastic jugs, etc. We are always carrying junk out of the woods. State land does get abused by many though, I always carry a plastic bag to toss trash in when I go up there.
  4. Wow, wishing that other hunters get shot, thats classy.
  5. funny you say that landtrac, I still have a stand in the garage that I never got around to putting up, and its almost time to pull the others at this point lol.
  6. Hmmmm, maybe it came through one of the ads or something like that. Make sure your Java, Adobe Reader and Adobe Flash player are all up to date. That is where most of the spyware/malware infections come through anymore. With the Java updates, not only do you have to have the newest version, but go into add/remove programs and uninstall all of the old versions.
  7. First off, what are you looking to spend? That will be the biggest part of your choice. Just about every shotgun out there today has the barrel options for anything you want to do with it. You really only need 2 barrels, a rifled barrel for deer and a smooth bore with interchangeable chokes. Bolt action, break open and pump guns are going to have the most felt recoil, with inertia driven semis next and gas operated semis being the least felt recoil. The gas guns are the dirtiest and require the most maintenance and cleaning though. Really, its all goinf to depend on how much you want to spend.
  8. I took Monday off, so Ill be out for 3 days to finish the season out. Yesterday morning there were 4 nice does feeding in the cut corn across from my house. As soon as the pressure goes down and the temps drop, they come back out. Im also hunting a buudy's place this weekend where they have been seeing a real nice buck regularly, but both guys already burned their buck tags on opening day.
  9. I have Butler Creek caps on my scopes and have had zero failures. The pair on my Remington 870 are 7 or 8 years old I think. Work great for me.
  10. You cant get a virus trying to upload a picture. What do you mean by "it went down"?
  11. What is the button on the front of the grip? Range finder? If you are trying to push that button you may be adding torque to your grip. Also, make sure your bow sling (wrist strap) is not tight around your wrist, it will cause torquing as well.
  12. I wasnt trying to be confrontational, I just havent heard about any further expansion of ARs for next year.
  13. I used to smoke and didnt have much of an issue seeing and shooting deer. I know quite a few guys that do it and take deer every year. I quit a couple of years ago, but if I still smoked, Id be doing it in the stand still.
  14. Did the DEC say they were going to be expanded further next year? The only new WMUs I heard about were in place this season already. Is that what you are looking for?
  15. I have 6 tags left, have only filled 1 so far. It wasnt for lack of opportunity, I passed on more small bucks this year than I ever have and I could have pulled the trigger on a bruiser if it wasnt for a property line. Lost 1 and missed a couple of does. Season isnt over for me yet though, hopefully I can get a tag or two filled this weekend.
  16. It doesnt take a biologist to figure that out. You can get a good guestimate by looking at what the DEC figures the deer population to be, then look at the estimated mortality rate and subtract out the number of deer harvested by hunters and it will give you a round about figure. I would be surprised if humans kill more than mother nature.
  17. You wouldnt say that to my fase Im a logger with a bigger internets deal ten you idiots!!!!!!LMAO ROFLS??!!!... I just dont want you to feel alone in the mental ward.
  18. Yep, but if you really dont have the time to practice enough, hang in the, the crossbows will be allowed in archery before too long, and they dont require the dedication that vertical bows do.
  19. Agreed, the second rut doesnt usually last long from what I have read, so it should be wrapping up and the bucks are in rest and refuel mode. Back off of the food sources if you can, get 100 or so yards up the main trails from the fields, etc and you may catch them staging up for dark to head to the fields.
  20. Wow, you arent very quick on the uptake, are ya? I thought you were leaving? Did the door hit you on your way out so you felt compelled to keep coming back and making a fool out of yourself?
  21. LMAO, babble babble blah blah blah!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Misspelling typo nonsense????ROFLMAO
  22. You do ya rube. Apparently you arent bright enough to understand what the statement means in the first place. Let me give you a clue, my statement was nothing more than stating you and your keyboard tough guy routine does not intimidate me. No tough guy talk there.
