Theres no possible way you can compare how the Indians really hunted with the way we hunt today. They did things like start fires to drive the deer into bottlenecks, cliff edges, other barriers and even into bodies of water where they could not escape, and then they killed the ones they wanted to. They also ran them until they were exhausted and had to stop to cool down. They trapped them, baited them and did what they had to do to kill them in the easiest methods possible.They were killing deer to survive, not for sport.

Some of my buddies in high school dipped, so of course, I tried it. Nasty, nasty stuff.

Why isnt it? Its more than effective and will put a deer down in seconds. Just because its hideous to look at doesnt mean its not ethical.

I have to agree with Doe on this. Between trying to change your account info, email address and just plain not even acknowledging anything for weeks after returning and using your account again, it stinks of a flaming pile of BS to me. If we are wrong, then prove us wrong. Show some pics of your son with the spike after he shot it, and his tag on it. After all, what kind of a dad doesnt proudly take a pic of his son with his deer?

I have a Copper John Dead Nuts Pro 5 pin that is mounted to a dovetail bar. Works great for me and has really tightened things up between the extended bar and smaller pins.

Well, if you want to break the law, go right ahead and keep making excuses for it to yourself. Im just saying its not legal. Its not legal for any of those other idiots that feed deer either. And yes, people do get ticketed for it. A guy a couple of miles down the street from my fathers house used to have a salt lick in his back yard until DEC noticed it one day and issued him a ticket. He claimed he didnt know it was illegal. ignorance is bliss, but its no excuse.

The femoral artery runs right through the rear quarters, and a hit to that will drop them just as quick as a heart shot.

There are bundles of arteries in the intestine/spine region, that shot will drop them real quick. If you do it right, you wont hit the stomach. I wouldnt do it, Ive seen pics and it just doesnt look right.

Yes its baiting, and illegal. Go ahead and email the DEC and be sure to share the reply. You need to use the DEC definition of what baiting is, not the dictionary. I have 3 like new red Carbon Express Lazer Eye lighted nocks. They fit regular size carbon arrows (I had them on Carbon Express Maxima Hunters). They do not fit my new arrows, which is the only reason Im getting rid of them. $15 for all 3.
