Dont get me wrong, if the pig did not die soon after, it should have been finished off ASAP. I am just saying some people are acting like the video shows some kind of travesty, when in reality, the whole clip (minus the reruns and ads) is around 30 seconds total. Not a long time by any means, and an animal may very well flop around like that with a shot that might be more "ethical" by the standards of many that are bashing the video. I dont think the laughing and letting the dog go after the pig were good things, but not much different than another video recently posted with a dog humping a dead deer.

So how many of the deer you guys have shot have flopped around for 10 seconds or more after a shot to the lungs or liver or when you spined it? That pig was dying and to sit here and make assumptions about what happened after the 10 or 15 seconds it showed is pretty asinine.

You should see my ground blind after a couple of years just being on the ground. Blowing away and getting stuck in a barbed wire fence last year didnt do it any favors

BPS already has a store in Auburn, which draws from Rochester and Syracuse. They wont open another that close by. Cabelas could probably do well here.

I get out as many days as I possibly can. Every day of every weekend during hunting season Im out there, then I generally take a week or week and a half of vaca time throughout the season, then I get in the woods after work whenever the opportunity presents itself. I couldnt tell you a number, but Id say the number of days I dont get out at all is lower than the number that I do.

Good lord. Where exactly was it that ANYONE said the femoral artery should be an intended target. Again, with a "Texas heart shot", the intended target is the cluster of arteries (not a single artery) and veins that run down the length of the deer just below the spine. Right where your bullet or arrow would go with that shot.

Please explain to me how my logic is "laughable". Prove that cutting a major artery will not kill a deer (or any mammal for that matter) just as fast as a heart shot.

I have two mainones. The kisser button in the corner of my mouth and my index finger and release meet at the corner of my jaw. I can also feel when my left elbow is in the correct position.

No I caught it, and still say its a ridiculous comparison. I dont know about you, but i tend to try and keep my shots well within the size of a dinner plate. Actually I find that within the size of a tennis ball of the spot Im aiming at is acceptable to me. A Texas heart shot can be accomplished within that size of an area.

Id turn him in to the DEC. Feeding and salt licks are illegal no matter what time of the year it is.
