  1. I just inherited about 15,000 baseball cards. Some are in special plastic sleeves, some in original packs, but most are in large white boxes meant to hold baseball cards. My problem is that is that I don't know what I have. I can spot a few big names but since I know little about baseball, I wouldn't know a good card from a bad one. The cards appear to be mostly 80's and 90's. Can anyone recommend someone honest in Watertown or Syracuse who could go over these with me. In the end I would like to sell 99% of them.
  2. Not to mention poisonous bugs and snakes everywhere.
  3. I have been using a Buck Woodsman for over 30 years. As long as you keep it razor sharp, you can unzip a deer in no time. I recommend the Lansky Sharpening System.
  4. Glad to hear that she is home safe!!
  5. Glad to see it wasn't just me. Always been slow but now a snails pace.
  6. I hate finding bucks like that after season. Then I start speculating how they died.
  7. I used to pick up tons of that when I was in college at Oswego. I too tried to make jewelry. Spray the glass with a light coat of lacquer and they will really pop.
  8. I have one that I leave up. I won't check it till May 1st. It gives me an idea of what happens after deer season.
  9. After two unexpected snowfalls destroyed the poles in my pop-up blind I decided to build this instead. It's 6x6x6, and it only cost me about $200 (pre covid lumber prices). Everything touching the ground including 2 ft. of plywood is treated. This pic was taken before we camo painted it. If you are looking to settle in one place and never worry about your blind being stolen, this is your game plan.
  10. The bolts that came with your 370 are junk. Save them for sighting in. Use them to get within a paper plate then fine tune with whatever you choose. I have been using with my Sniper 370, Black Eagle Executioners with Lumenocks & NAP Spitfires. I've taken 11 deer in 5 years with that combo and I don't plan to change.
  11. I've starting them around. Unfortunately I see them as one more predator to eat turkey eggs.
  12. Very nice! So does it have the JM stamp?
  13. My first opening day in 1981, I was 16 and was totally amazed at the traffic. Bumper to bumper down rte. 12. It was an image I will never forget.
  14. I want some simple green or gray wool hunting pants (no camo). I used to go to Herb Phillipsons in Rome or DeJulio's in Syracuse. Is there any place in Syracuse, Utica or Rome that sells wool hunting pants like Johnson?
  15. Back in the era of slug hunting, I would travel to a special gun shop to get 16 ga. Peters slugs. When they became unavailable I switched to Brennekes.
  16. I really like this. It's made in Cooperstown.
  17. I have the Gander Mountain version of this grinder. It has lasted me 10 years. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1HP-800W-Electric-Meat-Grinder-Sausage-Maker-Stainless-Steel-Cutting-Blade-Plate/184267938331?hash=item2ae7399a1b:g:B3MAAOSwD39ejTeN
