sorry you had a bad experience covert.I relate it to when i take a young guy hunting.If they sit in a stand and see nothing for 4 hrs and freeze their tail and toes off,they wont be quickly interested into it.It has to be interesting the first couple of times to get ya hooked.Maybe if ya went with someone that was skilled at it and had the right equipment next time it would be more entertaining for ya. I know it isn't for every one.I remember when i moved here my uncle bought me the fish trap shanty.I had it for almost 3 yrs before i used it.I used to say"why in the heck am i going to drag this thing all the way out on the ice.Drill a hole and sit there freezing my tail off till i catch something"?I decided to go one year cause my boy loves to fish.Well we went out and filled a bucket with our limit.My uncle and his partner each had vexilars.They were not catching anything.They even set us up on a set of their old holes before they moved.My uncle called me at 6 and asked where i was that morning.I said"blah.they are fish.not deer.I can catch them anytime of day".We blasted them at noon when we finally got there.We were hooked ever since.

just what we need.gun season opening a week earlier when they are really moving.This is the reason lots of people get into archery.For those two weeks before gun.If you opened it up a week early it would really hinder the possibilites of growing nice bucks without AR.they only give ya two weeks in some of the states that have the best antlers.And go figure.they don't start the gun season in the chase faze of the rut either.

I never had it happen but i know guys that have.They said its a rush when some dogs come crashing in at ya. You tube is the best.I have sat on there for hours just viewing how to do deer calls.Predator calling is a whole different level.

What?Are you kidding me.It is regular season and mzl/bow season.Not bow/mzl and gun season.I have never heard that before at all.Might want to make sure of that.I wouldn't want some one to read it on here then go out and get a big fine for using wrong tag in wrong season.I mean hell.I should be able to use my bow season buck tag in regular season then.Right?

I tried to fish there for crappies a couple times.Everyone says they do good over on the south east end.I have tried straight out from the camp ground before but cought nothing.

last time i tried to enter at the Elms there was a tourney going on and had to park all the way down the road.I usually just get to the wigwam and pay the 5 to park.I get there early like 6 or so.We fish way out in the middle mostly.In around 14 Ft.of water.I will find ya out there.If we ever get ice that is.

being fit and fast chasing dogs doesn't change the fact you are using dogs.It takes the fair chase out of the equation.The dogs are doing the hunting.You are just chasing the dogs.What you are saying is that if you are too old to run on top of cliffs and wan't to hunt behind a fence you are better than the other older non fit guy that can't run fast chasing dogs across a mountain top?

ya so lets just make it 30 mins early so that the shooter can't see what is behind their taget cause its too cloudy.But they shoot any way cause it is legal.It is sunrise for a reason.Why is it everyone thinks DEC is out to take from them.You loose an hour of hunting?really?That's what you are worried about?

i havn't harvested a deer this year.I passed on some small bucks with hopes for a big one.Didn't work.LOL.Hunting is one of the most pure connections with nature.Its not killing.that is not what hunters do.The kill is how they finish the hunt.the hunt is what hunters do.After you make a few kills.You will focus more on the hunt.More on how to out smart that thing that knows you are hunting it.Even a little squirrel will know you are hunting it.Walk around the woods and try to shoot one.You won't.I have tried.I have been in snow camo on snow shoes.Hunted those little things and never saw one.Wen't out next day same area with orange on to hunt deer.Sat still and i saw tons of tree rats.I was pissed.Then i realized.DUH.they knew they were being hunted just like the buck i am hunting right now.Think about it,because while you are on watch for big or small game you will steady think about it.What if i did this,or did that.This is what makes you a hunter.So get out there and hunt.

or a hand warmer.Just hold it on your buiscuit and you are good to go.
