    Ide sit it. Those old stand sites are there for a reason. Ive always had good luck on stateland by old rotten tree stands,old buckets,ect. The way i see it most of the old farmers didnt have time to waste so they no where to hunt and kill quick. Do they move out of the area yes but if theres tracks ide be sitting it.

    This is what ill do from now on unless i get another one shoulder mount worthy. Grandfather used to do it with all his. Wanted atleast one euro so this years buck is getting done.

    Ide go for it. Push in as close as you can. Do you see where he leaves the field? If thats consistant and you can get to that spot better then the field edge ide setup there.

    Ide say 30-40 hrs of bow,about 30 for gun. Ill add probably another 10 during ML next weekend. Hoping to get more in next year.

    Im with you on this. Last 2 years its really sunk in more and more that i just enjoy being out. Always enjoyed it but i dont know what changed but i seemed to enjoy it even more the last couple years.

    I dont shoot traditional but want to go heavy arrow and broadheads starting next year like traditional bows tend to shoot. What broadheads are you shooting or recommend?

    Motivation is theres less then 2 weeks left and then a 9 month wait to get out again. Lol. That is what my brother told me when he left my house last night.

    Im hoping next weekend i catch one cruising. Never taken one in the late season or with a ml. Ill be in the same spot as opening morning of gun in between 2 bedding areas and an oak flat.

    I love my 16gauge wish you could find them more often or i would have 10. Mines really low recoil and is geeat for bird hunting. Mines in retirement now was my grandpas,uncles,my fathers now mine so its been shot alot. But biggest issue is ammo,not alot of people have it and if they do its not a big variety.

    Brothers spike. Its maybe his 3rd or 4th deer. Long story short him and his friends did a drive, shot was around 60yrds. Thought it was a doe but hes pretty happy with it.

    Just got 2 calls friends wife took a large doe last night and my brother dumped a spike this morning. So out of the 7 of us only 2 still havent punched tags. Good year for us.

    I use these as well. 3 fully loaded and a speed loader for my primer stayd in my inside pocket so they stay nice and dry.

    I dont know if it is or not but for the knee ive twisted and messed that one up so many times ive got it down to a science on getting it back to normal. It was fun we had a blast and some of views we saw were amazing.

    Well we walked and walked and saw nothing. Cut tracks early but it was so loud we couldnt ever get caught up. That was at hammond hill state forest. Tried another spot on hammond hill and only thing we saw was cross country runners. Ended up going over to yellow barn state forest after lunch. Saw where they had been early morning a couple beds and a dead doe the coyotes had down to bone already. Well there is where i twisted my knee up so we called it quits wasnt enough sign to keep us their. Still had a great time.

    Out to 7r tomorrow leaving at 5 should be there by 630 not sure what piece my friend picked out. Going with a long time friend weve grown up together hunting. This will make year 24 since we started hunting together. All started at 8 or 9 running around his families farm with pellet guns trying ro hit pigeons on the barn. Going to see if we can take some does on land weve never stepped foot in. Either way it will be fun to spend the day stomping through the woods like we are 12 again.

    Well good day no kills but fun. Had 3 bucks on the run all missed 2 does one was to far for sitter the other was running at 100mph they said. All the bucks on different pieces just needed a couple other people we might of had atleast 1 of the bucks. Happy thanksgiving and enjoy the time with your families.

    Thank you. Weve been doing this since we all turned 18. So 14yrs now we get as many of us as we can to do the drives and hang out before people head to their dinners. I have 10 drives setup on stateland we will try to get through before everyone leaves. Luckily most dont have dinner until after dark. But our big days are the 3 you just said we dont drive opening day but turkey day and the last day we all get together. Happy thanksgiving.
