Yeah it's scary. I don't think anyone thought the wind was supposed to be that strong. Hopefully they get them ok. Floating out there on a large ice chunk but they should be able to get them with air boat or hovercraft. Happened this year faster than I can remember. And yes can't wait to be on open water. Maybe pickup boat next weekend

It's crazy out there. Toad harbor, Oneida shores, Chapman park, all have ice rescues going on right now. Wind came up 40 mph and broke ice off and people can't get back to shore. Every year it happens. I always thought they should be charged $500 if rescued off the ice. But can't charge for rescuing people that do stupid things. Too bad cause the fire Dept here would be rolling in cash. They have a hovercraft just for these things.

Ice is done on Oneida . Heard 5 people went thru today. And that cold front just went thru and wind opened up spots all over and ice is breaking and piling. Lewis point opened up all by shore and anyone out is gonna have a hard time getting back dry. That crazy wind here just did it in for the season I think.

people are making informed decisions on what is best for them same as you are. If you decide not to get a shot dont - your choice- but dont down on people cause they make an effort to get one once they decided it was best for them. Understand that people that get the shot could also look at you and say " Its amazing how one can ignore the science in front of them" I have friends that get it, friends that dont. Their choice- their life. Neither are they sheep or ignorant for either choice.

i have the 12 Volt and it has been plenty of power for a days fishing so far. For me a must have now is the Ipilot. It def raises the expense a bit but it is a game changer for walleye fishing. At least for how i do it. I got the foot pedal with it too which now i wish i hadnt. After using the hand held remote I just use that now and the foot pedal cost me another $400. I have the minn kota but also hear motor guide works well. @chrisw. Did you upgrade your trolling motor on new boat and have to sell the one that came with it? I had to do that when I got my tracker last year.

Yup i agree- I expressed this same concern back in the beginning of this. AOC, Bloomberg, Lettita James .... all farther left. But i actually would be encoured (for NY) to see Kathy Hochul take over - just dont know on her re-electability after term ends. And lets face it no Republican is getting in there.

The dems in NY were just as sick of him bullying them and now they have a chance as his armor and power are falling apart to get rid of him. Hes far too damaged goods now to run for president or anything else. They would rather get him out move on and get him off their backs as well.

Targas are nice rigs. Wide. I just bought a canopy for my tracker that im gonna try to put up this weekend. Then next weekend bring the boat home from storage cause i miss it.

Every day and eve the lake has been full of shanties and fisherman. Tonite not a soul off Lewis pt. Not even a couple. Heard a bunch of huge cracks opened up by Chapman park. Rain Tonite and 50's tomorrow and windy. Dunno if it will recover from that..... High sun now everyday gonna be tough to stay together. Not a fisherman to be seen on Oneida Tonite . At least on the east end that I could see. Thinking it's over here except for a crazy or two that try it.

I honestly think they are more for looks than anything. If you hit anything very hard at all your still going to have damage. It might reduce the amount though if it wasnt a hard hit. But even at 25 mph those are prob bending quite a bit. Having them on there shouldn't cause any truck damage though.

Price chopper in this area carries casings from the "Syracuse casing company". They are packed in salt. Just need to run some warm water in them and soak for a few minutes. I've always liked how they come out. Usually one container I can make 30+ pounds of sausage. They run 6-7 bucks.

i would say a streamer might be the ticket.
