  1. Got out to check on a stand I have out in bouckville Madison area. It's a wild card and a place I go on occasion. Shot a doe there the very first time I sat in it. Then for three years didn't hunt it cause they kept putting the cows out in the field in the fall. Well this year it's corn for the first time. So went and made sure it's ready and will prob try it a time or two . It's a 1/2 hr drive and can only hunt afternoon there and stand is only good for an east or south wind. But it might be good for an early doe. It's only 12 acres that I have access to and most of it is fenced cow field so I have a tiny little corner to hunt. 3. The presidency will be won in the primary. My fear is with the staunch Trump supporters it goes.. Trump 26% Desantis 24% Haley 18% Pence 8% Etc. Something like this Then Trump loses again in the election. When any one of the others would have a Reagan type Landslide win over Jimmy Carter. These guys are just orange blind. Your wasting your time arguing with them. Its sad they can't see the faults he has and the ability and overwhelming need to move on. Hopefully they won't lose the election for us. We have no idea who the Dems are running. Michelle Obama? Trump is over. It's been 2.5 years in a presidency which divided the country like no other. The good things he did I praise. He was far better in policy than I ever thought he would be. Kudos. But to ignore that he was still an embarrassment as a president is lunacy. And it's all his Ego and my fear is that causes another loss and THAT we cannot take a chance on! Time to move on for the better of everyone. These guys think that people are now gonna vote for Trump because Biden is so bad...... Delusional. He is hated and will be again. And chances are Biden won't be the Dem lead. I also won't get into the rigged election theory and the dry humping of a "movie". Lol. Let's not make it even close for further issues of rigged elections on either side and blow them out of the water! Another reason to move to a better candidate that will crush the Dems as they should be. Sent from my motorola edge 5G UW (2021) using Tapatalk

  8. So each instructor will have to bring pistols for everyone to shoot? And let them shoot them off their permit?
  9. How do you do a 2 hour live fire class with a pistol when you dont have a permit? Its against the law to possess a handgun without a permit..... Do we really think any judge is going to go thru everyones social media? Some people might have 30 accounts with years of posts. So out of touch .
  10. Happy birthday! hope its a great one! @phade
  11. this is in my county. And they are very strict with licensing and havent allowed unrestricted permits in years, but now are saying anyone that has a permit is now unrestricted. They even state this new law is unenforceable.....https://www.wktv.com/news/local/oneida-county-gun-licensing-officials-some-new-nys-gun-laws-impossible-to-enforce/article_6bf72f50-fd72-11ec-b92f-effc82ca7692.html

  14. there was 2.5 million more retirees during the pandemic than was expected previous. If you were just working to be working or for some extra pocket money, many retired to be out of the covid mask wearing mess. Then if the #'s are true nearly a million died from Covid. Add in, as Nomad said, less of a working age population as well as people working from home 4 hours a day prob means more staff is needed to cover. As well as everyone is trying to catch up with production and demand after being shut down so more workers are needed. Then add in all the entitlements people are getting and dont work. It always amazes me come tax time how someone that barely worked all year can get 10K+ for a tax return because they have kids and meanwhile I can barely get anything after paying in a ton. We have always had shortages at work in certian depts but it has def gotten worse with all the competiton out there. I never missed a single day during the pandemic or worked from home. I was often the only one around in my whole area or building. Times are def changing and remote work is looked at as perk that companies can offer to attract people. Even if productivity is less its more than nothing, and staff will tend to stay. I used to be a 60+ hour a week person and just grind and grind. The older i get the more i have realized work is just a part of my life and not my life. And 8 hours is enough there, although when more is needed i will always be there. I will get more done in 8 hours than most do in two days and always put in an honest day, but thru days of taking home work or working on weekends i have realized in the long run never gets you ahead it just makes life shorter. And i think a lot of the newer generation are smarter than I and realized this at an earlier age. Everyone is replaceable, when you retire the work will still go on without you. And in the big scheme of things how important was it to begin with.....
  15. Also the adirondack stand by -slow troll by paddling a lake clear wobbler and a worm.......
  16. use a jigging spoon or jigging rap off the areas where the contour lines are tight. Mid summer def look for deep cool water. Can also jig a smaller sonar. A slip bobber system that would drop a bait down deeper is also a good option esp if you can use minnows there, but a lot of trout waters you cannot.

  19. Got out on the 4th for a bit! Not a lot boated, we dropped 4-5 but got the biggest eye of the year. Got him on the Merica spinner and had a couple others on it and dropped em. Hooked the big one while I had the hand on my line putting on a planer. One little spot they were hitting for a few minutes but couldn't stay on em. Corey also tied for perch of the year at 12" too. One of us while walking thru hit the key and bent it badly. Got it to work til we got back in. Went to take out the key and it just snapped. Ugh. Was able to fish it out and glad it didn't break til we were done for the day. Sent from my motorola edge 5G UW (2021) using Tapatalk
