Lol. Nice cherry picking there. In 2008 oil spiked to $145 a barrel in summer for a very short time due to issues in the middle east and Venezuela. But let's pull out some numbers in 2008. In Dec oil was down to $32. 2022 the lowest has been in the $70s for a short time. Gotta look at this with perspective. The dollar is worth less due to inflation caused by the US printing money that it doesn't have. Which has been the policy of this white house. Prices of everything are higher which also cause oil to be higher since US workers still have to handle, refine, haul the fuel etc. Are the companies still making money? Of course. It's a free market - would you like otherwise? But did they suddenly get greedy just this year? Um no. They've always been about profit first. Add in all the fuel taxes that have been added since 2008 as well esp NY. Then limit the amount of fuel produced in the US by this administration and there ya go. And the fact Biden is spending the oil reserves as fast as he can is just kicking this can farther down the road. Do you recall Trump restocking the oil reserves when it went down to $35 a barrel? Awesome move, and Biden is even screwing that up. Oh and if your trying to remind me that Obama sucked too you don't have to I remember. Also there was a bit of an economic issue in 2008 if you remember. Hmm economy an fuel price issues under Obama and Biden. Almost shocking isn't it. Lol. You can't shovel enough sod over this shit show Biden has put on. Give the guy credit where it's due he's earned it. Thanks - I am kinda leaning to cut and clear weekend of Aug 5-7 (plus i have limited time that weekend), then plant Aug 12-14. Been thinking that same thing to be prime by Oct 1 and less time for it to be eaten down. Last time we planted in 3 weeks it was growing strong. But spot that was growing so well when i hunted it mid Oct was eaten to the ground. Then maybe if i cut the trails later this year i wont have to do it again the first week of Sept too. Im sure im overthinking it, but im a planner and to me its part of the fun of hunting. Im planting some "bow stand" "secret spot" type of mixes, as well as some radish and winter peas. Gonna play it by ear but think i am going to back it up at least a week from what i was thinking and kinda play the weather.

When do you think is the best time to plant? I read on the packs of mixes most say 30-45 days to mature after planting. And last year had a small plot basically eaten to the ground in Oct. Other plot we had got washed out with the record rain. I am planning to cut trails etc July 22-24, then put in plots July 29th area. Should I wait a couple of weeks longer for mid August? I am a big fan of Rand Paul and Mike Lee. But dunno that they could get the wave to get them to win the primary. Hopefully Mike Lee is on the supreme court one day. Lol I saw that. The lake is clearer than it's ever been. Yesterday coming in could see everything thru the weeds and we were looking at fish all the way in. Plus they listed as all the farmland around it is causing the pollution from runoff. Farms....what Farms?? Dunno. But I'm still living. i outlined that for sure. They hate him, its that easy. As do so many republicans and dems. He is a waste of time at this point for both sides. Better options to be had that are electable. if i was a dem i would be hoping he runs as he is about the only person or inattimiate object that could ever possibly lose to Joe Biden and prob will again. All you have to do is start showing all the Jan 6th footage and get him all riled up and his Ego inflammed so he looks like an angry man and hes done. Whether you agree with Jan 6th or not he is still gonna have to tow that behind him. How can you say he can beat anyone out there ?? 2020 ring a bell? The dems would LOVE for him to run again as its the only chance they have to win. See 2020. Yes he packs stadiums and has a staunch following - the exact same people from 2020. And the exact same people from 2020 still hate him. If Desantis, Haley, Lee, etc get the nomination they still get the Trump vote as well as the republicans that vote anti trump and prob even a few Dems. Therefore a landslide. This is easy math. Move on. And move on to better choices and whats best for the country. We dont need Trump revenge we need to win the white house! Absolutely. If it is proven the election is a fraud I want everyone and everything convicted. It won't make me like Trump ever but the will of the American people is always what is to be done. That being said does Trump need another 2.5 years ? Maybe 5 more? Its not a recent topic. And every single court including his very own appointees and staff have thrown it out. Even his own family. Its over. Does that not mean anything to you either? And I'm not sure what you want me to point out in the movie that isn't credible as none of it is substancianted. See the interview with Glenn Beck and Dinesh where he states "I have no evidence". To debate the "evidence" with you isnt even a point when there isn't any as stated by the guy that actually made the movie. You really have to watch it without wanting it to be true. Because he shows a video of a person at an election site isn't evidence. You can't see what is being done and there is no evidence it wasn't staged by either side. Watched it. Quite a "movie". I even ate popcorn and laughed at it. All it does is make those who already believe it believe it more. Proves nothing and is zero hard evidence. Even the guy that made the movie stated he has NO evidence that the election was rigged against Trump. You know it's a movie right? Just like the left made for Hilary.... propaganda to fire up the base. Nothing more. Wasn't going to bother being analytical cause the people that believe that just listen to what they want to hear. If there is all this evidence then why can't any of it be brought to charges by a guy who was president? ......just how good you have it? Was coming back from checking out a tree stand I rarely use 1/2 hour away and these things pop in my head. As I'm traveling thru some absolutely beautiful country with the window down, the radio on and I stop and get an ice cream cone at a little towns ice cream stand....I remember just how good I really have it. In no other time or place in history does anyone have it better than the average American. We might bitch about politics and things in general but we need to pause once in a while and not take what we have for granted. Where else in the world can I be traveling the open free road in a truck I own and stop for a giant ice cream for $3, go home to the house I own, mow the lawn, drink a beer and basically do as I please. Kings from the past don't have access and freedoms to all we have as "middle class" Americans. I have a great GF, a job that pays the bills, a dog that is like my right hand, a boat and a simple house by the lake, a fridge with food and beer and the ability to have time to enjoy myself hunting, fishing and just sitting on the patio if I want to. I am farrrr from a rich man but compared to what other countries and other times had, it's hard to believe all we have. Be thankful and don't just take it for granted. And no I'm not dying or anything, it just struck me today, while Im driving with the window down eating a mint chocolate chip ice cream cone, thru the back roads of Madison county on a perfect summer day.
