    Nice score for you too! I went there today and they were stocking the case so I hit it just right. Bought the only 2 boxes of 06 they had. I pretty well set with rifle now thanks to you for sure.     Also a good tool is a hunting app. I use huntstand and it shows where your wind will be from any of your stands. Although I will still check the forecasted hourly wind direction for changes coming up while I'm in the stand. Sent from my motorola edge 5G UW (2021) using Tapatalk

    For $25 worth a try and some extra hunting clothes at the least. I use this in between the morning and afternoon hunt. Love it . I have stands set up for different wind directions so i have choices to play when needed.

    I hunted parts of 6K for a few years in the Florence area. Trout fished a lot of it too. But never ran across a bear. Just north of there more in Lewis co i have seen them on occasion, but never while i was hunting . Was at a grad party this weekend and someone there was talking about seeing a bear up in North bay area. So they are around, just never been a lot of them.

    I live right next to 6K and had a buddy of mine in 6K found bear crap on the roof of his shed. He even called DEC to take a look and they told him there are more bears around than most people think. Jealous of those cam pics (the bear not the poop lol) Hope you run across one this season. If beech nuts, acorns or apples nearby might have a chance.

    been dying to get a pic of a bear at least once. Most bears in Ny are taken as targets of oppurtunity while deer hunting. They can range a long distance. i have hunted for them in the Dacks and never seen one in higher population areas. If you consistantly get cam pics closer to season maybe, but i would think youd be lucky to ever see it during season. Very cool to see one on cam though. Esp in 6K. I would love to just know there is a chance one could step out.

    I was just looking up some 10-15 day forecasts. And it def looks like a lot of heat. This weekend looks good and I will be cutting trails with the brush hog and maybe a til in one spot if I have time left. But end of next week looks to be mid 90's. I was going to til and plant next weekend but I'm not doing it in that heat for sure. The 8-14 day forecast is above normal temps and below on rainfall. Not great.     yikes! Def a scare. I use only ladder stands and replace straps every year. I also have 3 straps on each one. One at the top, one on the foot rail and one on the tree brace. ive seen where squirrels have chewed one before. So i always have a back up in another spot. i check them all the time but not gonne know til your up there. We only have 5 - 17ft ones anymore and run a lot of 9fters. We just tuck them in real well and they work just fine and def feel more comfortable at that height.

    Hopefully the heat breaks and we have a couple of cool weekends. This weekend I am cutting trails and will get everything in prep to tackle planting the weekend after. This Sat looks great and am Hoping it's not 90 degrees next weekend. I have a backup weekend for Aug 12-14 but don't really want to go later than that .
