Let's start the campaign here! Biz for governor! -
Yeah that would make sense , maybe a flatter plane..... Now I want it to stop raining after work so I can shoot it again. Lol
-
thats what ive been told. Shot it and at 5,10,20 all were close to robin hoods. Did it three times. Dunno - just is. wanted to check it out theory that when deer is at 5 yards to use your 40 pin. Did a thread here last year on it.

theres a 2018 one under deer hunting topics - 2019 might be a bit early yet
-
surely all depends on the total setup - from arrow weight, speed etc. Field points shoot exactly the same as the grim reapers i shoot. And once bow is tuned in, all shoot are the practice heads they provide. Have also heard about using 40 yard pin for shots inside 5 yards etc. Tried that out with my bow and it shoots the same at 5, 10, 20 with the 20 yard pin. Just depends on the setup and shooter etc. its all about finding what works.

thats it!!!! dont make me come out there.... you all better get ready or im gonna be out and put up treestands and tune in your bows and write sick notes for you for work! get er done this weekend I cant take this anymore!

its all the rage G- Man -- join the club. I had a bunch that you get free for buying stands and hated them. This one seems to be a lot better . And for a few dollars and a couple of seconds - i realized i had no argument against it. -

it was really the picture of Lee and Tiffany on the box that sold me, but I'm gonna give you guys the credit! -
Ok ok ok......you guilted me into it. Got a new treestand harness and tree straps. I will admit I haven't been using them. I only hunt ladder stands and have felt pretty secure. But after this summer cutting myself to get stitches and braking toes for not being careful enough, figured better safety it up this fall. And with your constant nagging about safety on this site I gave in . Good God! Lol Seriously! All kidding aside , thanks for the push I am sure I will feel safer in the tree and for the amount I spent it certainly makes sense. So bought a new more comfortable tree harness and a bunch of straps to leave in tree for the season to hook to. And since none of you are in my will, I guess I should take good advice. Cause you never know. Thanks Folks. Here's to a safe hunting season for us all.

They have the same at all the TSCs and Walmarts and bass pros etc. Usually a DEC poster there too that its illegal to feed /bait deer.

must take a long time to pan through all that video though. Even just pics take a while when you have like 400. How big of an SD card do you need to use for that much video?
-
try a different broadhead . I shoot grim reaper whitetails and they fly no different for me than a field point. plus they come with a practice head to tune for broadheads. Now that bow is tuned thats all i shoot during season for practice or just to be sure i am still dialed in.

"honey why are you dressed in full camo to take me to the airport?" ........ "no reason, just the first thing I threw on"....... lol

I figured would have a lot of biscuit rest shooters. Just seems to be the thing for hunting and dont have to worry about arrow falling off a rest. Dont see many tube peeps here anymore. In a way i like them better. I always seemed to have a good sight window and no string in the way. But sure get sick of them breaking so have a 3 string peep now. Have a string in the way but never really have to worry about it moving or no tube issue. Seems like there is no 1 brand of bow either, we all have something different. Was interesting for sure. Quite a few people have had their bows for a long time, and a few have bought from other members of this site which is great. Like TF said - a few it seems the cables and cams fell off theirs - lol - I admire those guys that shoot traditional surely takes some skill and practice. But they all look like killers to me- lets put them to use!

that duck looks perfect! damn its 5:30 in the morn and i want some of that.
-
yes cause i need to cover those days off - you available?
-
Forget the bear spray , carry permethrin spray. Far more afraid of ticks than a black bear. It's the little ones that get ya, you don't see em coming.
-
But what if he's packin.....
-
Sounds like a great time. No bears but some good time away and something you will all remember for sure.

after this week i dont work a full week until December! have the next 3 mondays off then it gets serious! with Oct 25, 26, 31, Nov 1, 6,7,8,13,14,15 all off. and thats not counting weekends and holidays!
-
if its a real windy day i limit my shot distance even further. Def nothing over 30. I have shot my bow to practice when it was real windy and like others said never saw a difference inside 30 yards.
-
cant imagine that if you didnt know a stag or a buffalo was on the loose and it walked out in front of you! might think you got too close to that mushroom hanging on the tree next to your stand!
-
about 10 minutes from where my office is located - 2 guys shot a buffalo https://www.oneidadispatch.com/news/pair-bag-buffalo-near-munnsville/article_0a947dcc-6c41-5543-a1a4-402d408fe681.html
