  1. Millers in Lowville is a good place - good reputation. About 20 minutes from Carthage - https://millersmeatmarketny.com/
  2. only way i will eat Okra for the most part. - looks good!
  3. steal from someone who worked to get what they have and dont go earn it yourself POS! sorry to hear, thats just the worst for sure. Tough start to a new move. Last time i was in Baltimore and i do mean last , was at an orioles/yanks game. The city was so bad we almost left without seeing the game. Was right before they had a lot of riot issues that year, but stuff like this can of course happen anywhere. Hope it goes better in new move than it started.
  4. glad to hear your back home again. whether you get out for any deer hunting or not, just get better. Best of luck and glad you are on the mend.
  5. Problem is I might be toooo ready now. Nothing left to do but wait, gonna have to focus on some fishing next weekend to keep me occupied. Even helped a buddy finish up his today too.
  6. Love the setup and puzzle as much as the hunt itself. I figured out a way for him to get in where he can come from behind stand and not spook anything. Ranged a bunch of spots, got him thinking of best wind directions. Always good to have a second set of eyes. But on the field we both picked out the same tree at the same time. Lol. So that's gotta be the one! I won't be hunting this spot , he has permission , but that's ok, sure hope he gets some action.
  7. Spent most of the day getting stands setup for my buddy . He just got permission to hunt across the road from his house . So it was a last minute setup but got it done. He's got three stands up , two in the woods and one just off this field which looks incredible. Figured in cover and wind and entry location etc. Will see how he does but this spot i took pics I think is gonna be killer. But he is set there. Our shared spot is all set, and my spots are good to go. Bow is dialed in... Can't wait. He is buried in the tree on the one pic , standing up in the corner. And that's a 35 yard shot from there to a trail. Happy for him he got to hunt this spot. And he even rednecked some wheels on the stand to drag it out there. Lol Was a good day.
  8. Did a test run on the furnace just now. It works. And put away the Ac yesterday.
  9. Let me help with motivation then! Me and a buddy caught 76 bass there in one day on the lake! It's not always that good but always can get a limit. And you can't fish it unless you camp there. It's def a neat place. And the cabins are great and a good price.
  10. With all these great hunters signing up for this, the only way I am gonna place top 10 is if I play some defense. So if you have a 4 wheeler come thru while your hunting, some fall leaf peakers walk by, a drone go over head, someone sighting in their rifle next door or someone cutting wood nearby at 6 am ......just assume it's me.
  11. 5am it was 41 here Verona beach. Feels like huntin time
  12. Flying squirrels are just drones for squatches..,...I think that you should sleep with one eye open TF.
  13. We have done a lot of our trips to Indian lake. My former wife grew up there. But our buddy trips up there we planned for the last weekend in sept when it was early bow season, early bear and fishing. One year we even caught the last day of early goose season on the 25th, then a day of early bear and fishing on the 26th, and then bow on the 27th for early season. It was pretty neat. Do a cast and blast! And if going to Indian lake check out chimney mtn cabins on kings flow. If you like bass fishing the lake is incredible. Loaded with bass, very quiet and just beautiful. Is on a dead end road in the town of Indian lake. One of my favorite spots to be.
  14. What bullets do you recommend? I've thought about trying the hornady sst or the aerolite but the accuracy was always so good with these.
  15. Very cool tradition. Be sure to keep it going. Me and 4 buddies from high school and college, and one of their dads, have a fishing get together every year and it is next weekend. Always good to get together. Gets harder and harder to do with families and responsibilities. A guy or two has missed it from time to time but we have been doing this for 25 years. Every morning for opening day of gun 4 of us also get together at the house for breakfast before hunting.
  16. Thoughts to you and your family.
  17. Shot the muzzleloader today. First time in two years. 100 grains 777 with a 245 power belt. Would say I'm good. (The target with the one shot) 100 yards. Other target is 3 shots with the 450 ruger. Just cause. Ready for gun too when it comes. Gotta site them in now, too busy during bow season. But muzzleloader is def candidate for the regular season.

  19. Nice! Your crushing every species this year!
  20. Nice point by that retriever! Was laying in bed one early morning in camp when I was a teen and heard a pop! I jumped up and my Dad was laying in bed with a daisy bb gun and shot a squirrel. Lol. He heard it and at camp the gun rack was in reach. Glad he grabbed that and not the sweet sixteen.
