I have my vacation days in for oct and nov! But i can usually move them around a bit due to weather but if too hot the boat can hit the water still so def not a waste of a day off if too hot to hunt.

A couple of local gun shops just got robbed. One is just 10 minutes from me and have used them for some gun repairs. Always worry that a robbery like this is some person that wants to use them for no good, but it's probably just some POS selling them for drug money or something. Got licences and Dmp's for 6S and 7F. Will get a leftover for 7J and 7F later as well. Love having that new license in hand......

I will probably go tomorrow. Just like to know I have my license and DMP s ready to go. When they first came out with the electronic system had a real mess. For several years after I would go to get my license and they would tell me I am in there three times. Cause the first year a local mom and pop sporting store really screwed up the tags etc. I had to piece together a row of good/bad tags for the season. And they kept trying it over and over and I ended up on the system three times. A couple of years ago herb phillipsons had it fixed for me. But yeah have had the computer crash several times when in line for the first day. Good luck to all on those permits!

Was working on stands this weekend . And pulled one last night after work from one place to put at another. Was gonna do some more work this weekend but it's supposed to be 88 and humid. That kinda puts the cover over being in the deer hunting vibe.

I've got a Bushnell 4 power. Don't plan on shooting farther than 150 yards with mine and I love the circle X reticle. Just put the circle on the kill zone and touch it off. The circle is bolder and I have just gotten to like this reticle so much almost all my scopes are this. Can also get them in a 3x9.

Had a friend of mine get his boat stuff stolen too. He was going to a bass tournament for active military and stopped to get something to eat and came out and saw some latches open inside the boat. They took all his rods and gear etc right in the parking lot. That just sucks, hate people sometimes. Take what others had to work for and deserve more than them. Sorry to hear this.

Just looked up some you tube how tos and might have to try it. I need a better smoker though. If I get a third deer always like to try some different things. So if I do this year def want to try bacon now. Cause it's bacon.

Wow would love to know how he does it. Been wanting to make duck bacon, but wouldn't think venison has enough fat. Might have to research how to do this.
