That sucks! And takes some stones to eat a guys venison up. Yeah thats quite a storage fee.

Venison gone yet? I've got about 6 packs of burgers (2 packs), 15 venison breakfast sausages, 3 stew meat, 8 small packs of streak, and 4 packs of snack sticks and 5 packs jalapeño sausage. So basically about 3/4 of a deer. How's everyone doing with venison ....you out.... Got a lot left..... I had a good season last year and that has lasted me and a better season the year before so was still working off that into the 2017 season. How many deer do u need/want in the freezer this year? I always like to get 2 which is about perfect. The third turns into a lot of ground and snack sticks etc. If I get one or decide to take one. And that's after giving away to landowners and some friends and family.

I do the same thing. I leave the cams out til opening day usually and just pick them up when I go out hunting the first time. Feels good to be doing some work towards hunting season

Put up 2 cams and cut shooting lanes on two stands at one of the spots I hunt yeaterday. And got 4 stands cleaned up and safety checked today and 3 cams up. And a plan to move another stand setup next weekend. And to help my buddy put up a stand at a game club he is a member of. Working towards Oct 1. Pics here ... Have shot a couple deer from this stand on our lease land. Love the little peakhole to the left.

I buy a lot of stuff right off the Walmart web site. Free shipping and they have most everything avail and usually cheaper than bass pro or Cabela's.

No fishing this morn...:(. Whitecaps at 6 am is a no go.

The field was beans last year and corn the year before. But they also cut two other fields up there as just straight hay. So dunno if they are only crop farmers.

Land is def owned by the same people cause I have permission from them to hunt etc. They do lease out several fields to farmers though. I think your right , would seem they would cut this before long . Thanks

The wheat looking stuff appears to be in nice rows though. Maybe it was planted but not taken care of? The field next to it that is always clover is corn this year. It's to my back in the second picture. Deer always cut inside this little woodbine on the left and my stand is there and I can shoot into the treeline or out into field. It's always a busy spot. Just never saw anything like this in a field.

One of the fields I hunt has always been corn or beans or even grass once. What is this ......it's like wheat I am guessing in between grasses. And when do you think they cut these cause it hasn't been yet and is up to my knees. Also is this a good deer attractor? I'm assuming they eat it and there is a cornfield connected I know I will see deer . But never saw a field like this. Overgrow wheat with weeds? 1st pic is an up close. 2nd is a full shot. 3rd is a clover field I hunt. And my welcome today is the middle of the field if you zoom in , looked like a small buck with flag up. Got one of my hunting spots squared away today. Checked two stands for safety, clean shooting lanes and put up cams. All set there for Oct 1. Tomorrow my leased land with my buddy and our 10 stands there.

Eye limit in an hour this morn. Lost 2 and then got three right in a row. Was kinda anticlimactic.....wouldve like to fish longer....lol.

Really depends on the spot. The right spot that is loaded with deer and your set. But can never have too many spots is my theory. Someone can have 200 acres but a guy with the right 40 might have more and better deer. I've got 14 stands up on 4 different properties . For reasons of wind direction and deer movement and not over hunting a spot. But I always tell people have a minimum of two in an area one for a west wind and one for an East wind at the least

Thought about coming out to fish a finger lake in the morn then go there. But a 60 hour week and staring down the barrel of another next week, just can't pull it off and get up at 4 am the next day Monday. Gonna hope to get out and fish my home lake this weekend and maybe put up a trail cam or two. Have fun everybody. Sounds like good food, good drink and good people.

We always hear that the US has the most obese out of shape people etc etc..... So that isn't good? Not really kidding ... So we are able to have more than enough food and great doctors and long lifespans and able to come up with vaccines and healthcare. So having too much food is a negative.....yeah we all could work out more, but I am very thankful I know I am having dinner tonite in my home that has electric and heat and if I get sick I can go to the dr. The reason we don't dig ditches by hand for a living is cause that life isn't as good and our elders made sure to improve life. That's why technology was improved etc. Yes the leading cause of death is heart disease and cancer etc. Cause most people are living long enough to contract these things. Something is eventually gonna get ya. Us fat happy Americans with our bad shoulders and backs actually have it pretty good!

been hit and miss but have gotten a few. Weve been doing well on slow trolls with worm harnesses so havent planer trolled a real lot. Last weekend i didnt fish much due to weather but the weekend before limited out both days. Had to add some lead line to get them down more than 4 colors. We are goign out this weekend though and will prob troll some. Will keep ya posted!

Grim Reaper Whitetails! exit wound on 30 yard shot last season! although they all are pretty much deadly. Didnt like the rages because they kept coming out of the rubber band if they touched anything. These are rock solid.

ive always felt i would make a great millionaire. I have no problem telling people no. And would give away money to a few and tell them this is it, period. Then i would still live pretty simply except have much more land to hunt and time to do it.
