  1. Most guys here prob have quite a range of music. Everything from Waylon to Merle Haggard and anything in between. Lol. And I am in that old school country boot too a lot of times. But there is some new stuff out there that is pretty good just gotta be open a bit to try it. I even like Alicia Keys I have to admit.... A great talent. But I am 90 percent country for sure.
  2. Heres a good vent for everyone - why the hell cant they stop robo calls and telemarketing? I dont wanna hear that the phone company cant keep up with technology- we can land a rover on Mars and send a Tesla car into deep space but we cant stop someone from trying to sell me an extended warranty on my truck every other day? cmon. I have a cell phone from work that I am on call for and they even get that number. I always wonder how they make money off this but there are some real gullible people out there as we have discussed earlier. There is a new phone scam everyday. I still have a land line but am seriously thinking about getting rid of it. That no call list is a no work list
  3. They dont make it because there really isnt a new rock genre anymore it seems. Its more hard like Metallica or more Pop like JT or rap. Dont see much old style rock, thats why country leans more that way these days. Most of the new country singers have influences from Skynyrd and CCR and ZZ top etc. New country is far closer to old rock than any other genre right now. Some of it is def on the poppy side and dont care for those but gimme Chris Stapleton and Eric Church for sure. Great voices . I just cant even listen to some of the old rock songs anymore that i used to like. Only cause ive heard it thousands of times , need something new. Travis Tritt is my all time favorite and he can kill rock or country all day - he was one of the guys that was pegged for new lead for Skynyrd at one point. Kenny Chesney is also the new Jimmy Buffett.
  4. have you listened to "todays" rock and roll? , pop , yuck! Some new country is really good. Some isnt . But still take it over any other new or "todays" music. and i like older music but i just cant listen to the same songs over and over and over ......
  5. I always think i should get a sled and ride , but just winter kicks my arse at work and ive gotten to hate snow since I run a transportation fleet its nothing but stress to me now. And i can get on trails right from my house that take me to the tug etc. Have a buddy that drags sleds and he is always trying to talk me into getting a sled. Then i already have too many hobbies as it is. and sleds is another hobby and an expensive one.
  6. Shhhhhhh........ dont tell anyone. I dont want to lose my shotguns...... I love them.......
  7. not enough likes!!!!! I want one! cute pup for sure.. Love the pic with the antler- thats a framer!
  8. http://www.localsyr.com/news/local-news/mountains-of-snow-redfield-passes-300-for-season/963814513 Could be worse - this was about a month ago. so they have gotten more since then - this is about 1/2 hour north of me.
  9. Carrie Underwoods pipes over anyone in any genre anywhere...
  10. agreed but this guys credibility is in the can . He makes any message look unbelievable and these days gotta hunt for those open minded intelligent people cause they are a bit scarce. Its like if Kim Yun said he is open to nuclear reduction talks with the US ......lol wait that just happened too.
  11. Only problem is Alex Jones is a crackpot. Uncle Ted is a bit weird but def like him.
  12. Travis Tritt does some great covers. Pretty much anything he sings I like though.
  13. We got lucky with this round and it's staying east of us, but some lake effect next couple of days....and local syr station is saying chance of another nor easter to form on Mon/Tues. Say it ain't so. Beat of luck to everyone getting dumped on today. Just got my snowblower back from the shop a few minutes ago so I am armed again in case.
  14. One year I remember a lot of late snow on the ground in April and the Turks were out in the snowy fields just a struttin... Can't stop nature!
  15. It damn sure does brother!!! Goes right with it. I'm sure he is real thankful to have a job too...yeah right.
  16. I like Dwight Yoakums version of suspicious minds a lot
  17. Batting cleanup behind A-Rod?....lol sorry couldn't resist....
  18. I guess she can watch it too. I am sure it will interest her as much as a guy named pygmy.....
  19. The frontiersman series comes out tomorrow. March 7.
  20. Good luck folks that are in the blast zone again. I just got a call my snowblower was fixed so gotta pick it up in the morning. We arent supposed to get it as bad this time. But looks like many of you are. First day of spring is two weeks away
  21. that would be my worry. Frozen pipes bursting in a wall etc. At least having a backup heat source.
  22. i had that 20 g savage 220. killed a couple deer with it - one at 130 yards but the .450 energy for the 250 g at 100 yards is listed as 1879 - compared to the 20 gauge 250 g at 100 yards at 1200 (both hornady) - thats what interested me in the round a bit. Something different. Kinda wish i didnt get rid of the 220 but traded it in for a 30-06 i wanted. Then also got a 12 g remington 11-87 which is my deer thumper. love a shotgun, just didnt like a bolt action shotgun - lol. dunno why no reasonable explanation . lol but if I was in the shotgun only zone i would have kept it for sure .
  23. its not bad - no more than a 12 g shooting those Hornady 300 grain. any certain rifles to recommend in the .458? I did a quick search and the winchester was a nice looking setup but most seemed a lot expensive.
  24. if it gets bad enough I see you becoming Negan and taking over most of the neighborhood anyway. lol
