  1. If I buy 2 scopes I would have to buy two guns .....
  2. That redneck group when they came out was rolling on the floor funny. I went and saw Jeff Dunham last year ( the ventriloquist with Walter, achmed etc) was way funny.
  3. Hard boiled one dozen eggs. Then put one cup of Apple cider vinegar, one cup white vinegar, one cup of water, some dry mustard, tumeric, a couple of tablespoons of weber garlic and herb seasoning, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 2tablespoons of yellow mustard, tablespoon of green Tabasco and 1/2 jar of jalapeños . Put it on stove and brought to an easy boil and stirred. Let it cool and added to jar with eggs. Gotta let them pickle for at least a couple weeks. Then they come out a bright yellow and a have a little bite. Big hit with the fishing buddies.
  4. Ditto here. Have the kitchen aid grinder sausage maker attachments and they work great. Half frozen meat does help. But if it was working and doesn't now, Sounds like something is wrong.
  5. Lol. At least a couple of weeks til they marinade. The eggs , the eggs marinade...lol
  6. Not having for dinner but just made a batch of Amish mustard pickled eggs with jalapenos. Great with some venison snack sticks and a beer after walleye fishing or turkey hunting . Which has to happen soon....
  7. Lol too funny just made that myself for breakfast this morn . Bought the pepperidge farm bread. Came out great
  8. True. Good point. I only took pistol twice and I loaded .45 in it. I took it another time and never thought of that. As all I had in pack was the 410s. Good catch and thanks. Never use it to hunt just had it as a finish if needed, and luckily didn't have to use it. But am sure Dec still wouldn't like that. .45it is.
  9. would say most calipers would work for this at a close range to dispatch. except like a 22 . .357 or .44 is def an all around cartridge for something like that. Like bkln above i also carry a judge and have taken it during gun season loaded with .45 or .410 slugs.
  10. been seeing a few , but no strutters
  11. depends on what size line your looking to use. But I agree with Grampy on the 35. If your bass fishing shouldnt have to worry about line capacity too much , they wont take a bunch of drag so shouldnt make a difference. Would be guessing your using 8/10/12 lb for largemouth? If your gonna fish open water smallies could go with 6 or 8 lb and either of those reels would work. Id go with the 35, prob a little more beef to it for yankin em out of the weeds too! good luck - cant wait for open water
  12. heres one that sticks in my craw a little. National grid just announced a rate hike- now I am not one to complain about the electric bill as I actually think its amazing that i can have power at the house and year long maint for what i pay - and the aging system needs more and more work but....... there is going to be an 11% increase for all users which will equal about $2.20 a month this year and again over the next three. But there is also going to be a 55% reduction for low income users????? WTF cause electricity to their house is cheaper? And guess what we are probably paying that rate decrease through a govt program. Look I would prob be all for an extended senior low income discount- that makes some sense. But lets make it easier for people not to work..... nope ! and even if they get a reduction its going to be more than half????? doesnt seem right
  13. one of my staff was driving down the road and out on some garbage cans by the road was a shoulder mount of an 11 point. And it was a beautiful mount, he took it. Am betting there was a divorce in there somewhere! better put the deer mounts and guns in the prenup! lol
  14. a typical summer day would be to fish the local pond in the morning, then fold boxes at the pizza joint to get a slice for lunch, then to the golf course to pickup golf balls and make a buck or two, then a pickup lot football game.... or at camp fish in the morning, do some swimming, chase red squirrels with the BB gun, sell some corn off the back of the pickup and back in for dinner time..... all at 12 years old and out with a buddy or two. We survived , didnt cause any real trouble and had a great time.
  15. Miss the old days sometimes. What else was back in youre day.....
  16. local weather station meterologist posted that the likelihood of a nor easter for tues is increasing. Computer models are starting to come together for a track up tight to the coast and for a significant snowfall but of course it is a few days out yet. :Lets hope not ! its getting depressing.....ugh http://www.localsyr.com/news/local-news/outlook-new-snow-maker-on-the-horizen-for-cny/1046103306
  17. you go anything bigger your gonna have to call it in to the air force! Airstrike ! - Broken Arrow! lol i think those 1000 grain arrows are called spears Moog!
  18. yeah so sick of it!!!!!! I had a hoffmans hotdog - not worth posting for sure - to busy and tired from fighting the weather lol
  19. wow Moog - a .458 socom and a 947 arrow - the boy means business!
  20. i think the question for me is why not wear it? I wear an orange hat and a vest. The deer arent going to see you any better/worse. When i used to hunt public land i was real happy when other people wore it. and i even wear it on our private land. In case anyone comes over or is looking for a wounded deer etc. Its also a good showing to the neighbors that we are out there hunting often and dont sneak onto the land.
  21. I just got a call that the other 2 boxes of my "squirrel" rounds that I ordered came in today. Gotta pick them up this weekend. Maybe by June Moog we will get weather to get out and shoot.
