I just got our closure posted on TV etc. The roads are terrible, never got over 25 mph on the way in to work. Limbs and trees down as well. Pulled into lot at work and one came crashing down and scared the crap outa me. Supposed to get 1-2 ft here today of heavy wet snow. its a mess

thus the reasons fat guys like me dont ice fish or sit on wicker - both are death traps!

Prob the common denominator for most of us here is young and stupid days.... Back in the day trout fishing would look at a ravine and think....I can slide down that and a couple of those trees will slow me down.... And then do it and fish for miles up a trout stream all day with nothing except fishing gear. Nowadays I look at a stream from the road and think....I dunno, will have to get over that guard rail and it's kinda chilly out.....maybe next time...it's almost lunch time....

Probably colder there for shrinkage.

went trout fishing years ago on a little bit of a stream near Osceola. I walked up the stream and was catching some trout. Mustve lost track of time and distance as the sun started to get low I decided i had better head back. Got a ways and then total darkness and not an ounce of moonlight. Completely the cant see the hand in front of your face. I either had to spend the night or try to follow the crick - well luckily this crick i know well and there isnt a spot over your waist. I waded the creek back and put my hands out in front of me to break trail. There was no going around anything only thru it cause I didnt want to get away from the creek. I left my fish pole there and its still there to this day. I got close to the road and knew there a was a beaver pond. I waited by the beaver pond or where i thought it was until a vehicle finally went by on this back road and I took a direction. I finally made it out about midnight. I was about 18 at the time and it scared me a bit and i yelled "YES!" when i got to the truck.

I always have a crap shoot of corn, beans or hay in one spot i hunt. And my one stand pends on which is planted for location. With corn can't shoot into the field so I setup accordingly. Beans last year and had a lot of action there. Corn seems to be tougher cause they stay in it for cover too. Used to be great when they cut it but these new machines leave just about nothing behind.

I don't this was a Jedi mind trick. Think he means to get the 21 age passed. And I think sitting with those families made a big impact on him. He also was ask about the fed con carry legislation if it was going to be included and he said no .

As i said earlier the NRA is just going to get run over on this one. They have no push against this its just too hot. They just lost the president as well. Membership for them is not going up its been at the same baseline for a while for totals. 5-6 million is but a speedbump for this freight train right now. We can only hope its tempered. There will be more laws passed Federal and by each state and i am just hoping along the line some school security money and plans are built in to actually help solve the real problem of having a soft target. At the same point , no one is coming for your guns anytime soon. Not in our lifetimes. Things will change, somewhere down the line we will prob see more registering and background checks, more restrictions on Rambo looking guns whether we like it or not. And because we are good people we will abide by these new laws and still be able to hunt.

I had that same problem with bass pro, but I went to the store and asked them to order it for me and they did it? - weird , but these days not so weird. Makes no sense
