Everyone should know their limitations and weaknesses. What are you a sucker for? What's your kryptonite... What can't you resist?? Something to ponder on a cold snowy day.... Mine are........ Redheads, dogs, conversation with friendly old guys with a good story, Sam Adams seasonal brews, savory comfort foods, pie (except pecan), cup of coffee on a cold day, guns with a big bullet, sitting in a tree with a bow in hand and a fish biting of most any kind. Every one of those stops me in my tracks. And prob one or more of them will get me in the end! Or at least I hope so....

Farthest I had ever taken a deer was 130 yards. Just down like taking long shots. Took one that was 200 last year and I felt after I shouldn't have. Didn't have a good rest. Have passed a few that far just doesn't feel right for me. And the places I hunt never getting a shot over 200 at all. I like a gun that makes a big hole.

Haven't fired it yet. Just got it Thursday. But it seems smooth to me. I had to order ammo to go with it and only one box came in. Got 4 more coming and that's probably about all I will ever need. Was gonna sight it in this weekend but dunno if I will with the weather. Can't wait to try some shooting with it.

Just bought it. .450 Ruger Bushmaster ranch rifle. 5.5 lbs.

I've got two brown trout and two northern pike on the wall. I can tell you where and when I got them and go on for 30 minutes for each of them for the story. The rest of the décor.....not so much. To me they are works of art.

There is also a 3 day waiting period on this bill. Cuomo is already batting his eyes at the safe act part deux! Expect these same regs to be introduced here very soon. NRA filed a suit against them, but prob merely a speed bump, but they did try. This will also prob pass federally as well. But Cuomo will beat that to the punch I am sure.

Be proud everyday for what you do, and a little more for doing that.

I used to be real bad with fishing tackle. There is always something new and shiny to fish with. But have gotten so that isn't the case as much. I have more lures than I will ever catch fish with. Other than some replacement soft plastics. Hunting gear i tend to be a little more conservative cause it costs more. Plus I get comfortable with a bow and don't want to change. Guns I have a few but nothing overboard by any means. Not a collector but I do switch arpund some til I have what I like the best.

It's like the land of unused toys.....they need their forever homes..... I so seriously if I have a scope sitting there will look for a way to use it. Can't help it. Its a problem.

thats the way I have been making turkey as well. But i hit it with a heavy knife a few times before I bread it. Then have some dipping sauces. After fishing with a couple of buddies and a couple beers its great. But i am gonna try the bacon wrapped turkey this year too. Damn i better fill both tags! I make pulled BBQ turkey sandwiches with the legs and thighs

sure will! Looking to punch some holes with it this weekend. Only have one box of shells - have 4 more on order and an extra mag. Mounted a 4x scope on it. Considered a redfield 2x7 scope but problem is if I buy another scope and i have a scope laying around i will buy another gun. Not kidding - I will obsess over it. Just like a reel with no rod - cant be .

Spring...... boat back from storage and cover off is the first sign! Then the rest are turkeys in the fields in full strut, trout on a panther martin and the GF back in a skirt!

Wow havent heard that name in a long time! My brother was good friends with Danny Miller, I think he worked there and went to school with him too. We used to stop there on the way to camp at Chase Lake and get steaks . There and Petes in Glenfield.

Same deal for me. But I still shoot right handed. As long as I close the other eye I am good with the bow prob mostly just from a lot of practice over the years. And always use a scope on everything else. The pistol on the other hand.....lol. Not so much. That's why I bought a judge. Anything else I am better off throwing it at someone.

One of the best things I never did in my life was eye surgery. I had bad vision and it gave me 20/20. Dunno if that's a option for you but it's great. It lasted over 20 years and now I need glasses for driving . But most people never need them again.

Have been trying to find a good place to get some frogs. Frog legs are great. I had a spot but it's private now. Tough to find a spot with a good bunch of them. Saw a ton on a golf course couple years ago. I didn't ask as I rarely golf anymore so thought they wouldn't go for it.

Which is your dominant eye? Was always told to go with that But I have the same issue. My right eye isn't as good as my left but have always managed. Wear glasses now for the bow and use scope for any guns. Had a tough time adjusting to glasses with the bow for a bit . But got it down now.
