Did a party boat charter with my daughter today on Cape Cod. I knew I couldn't get her up for the morning (which would've been better fishing) so we went in the afternoon. Caught a bunch of small scup and a couple small sea bass. Coolest part of the trip was we had a humpback whale circling our boat for a couple hours. Captain said it is very rare for a humpback to be in Nantucket Sound. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Haven't been taking pics on vacation but last few days have been filled with a lot of oceanside eats. Stuffed quoahogs, fried fish sandwiches, fried clams, wedge salad with bacon and blue cheese, clam chowda, a great NY style pizza, fresh cod, scallops and lobster from the fish market down the street. Ice cream every night. I'd be 500 pounds if I lived here.

Nice. Have to give that one a try. Those Singlecut beers aren't cheap! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

I generally drink good beer but days at the beach and sand all over it's just good to have an ice cold out of the freezer PBR and a shot or two of bourbon in the late afternoon Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

For a long time I would just find a nice tree along a ridge put my back up against it and sit on the ground on a foam pad. I did the milk crate thing for a while - not very comfortable for a long sit. I now hunt from homemade ground blind and use a folding camp chair like this one. Comfortable for an all day sit but not so comfortable I'd want to fall asleep in it.

Rifle always in hand or across my lap. I will lean it against the front of my blind only when I eat lunch.

That almost looks healthy with the spinach!

They were darn tasty! Especially after a day fishing and a few beers!

Foot long Sahlens. Ted's hot sauce, Weber's mustard, kraut, chopped onion. As I posted in the hot dog thread, the Sahlen's taste like White Eagles to me - excellent! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Finally cooked up the Sahlens. Similar to White Eagles in my opinion, therefore, very good. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Finally got up north to do a little fishing this weekend. My parents are seasonal at a campground on a small lake a little west of Warrensburgh in the ADKs. Dad and I went out after lunch Saturday for a couple hours and caught 21 largemouth and smallmouth between the two of us. Brought my daughter and niece down to fish from shore after dinner and they caught 4 or 5 bass each. Good day. I have an app on my phone called Sharktivity that is put out by the North Atlantic Shark Conservancy that does research on great whites. They send out real time alerts of shark sightings and whenever a tagged shark pings off one of the the tracking buoys around the cape. Each sighting is marked on a map on the app. It is pretty neat if you are spending time out there. I just checked and there are 15 documented sightings in this last week. Mostly on the outer cape.

Your top 3 favorite guns that you own

Mossberg 500 12 ga. - first deer gun that I ever purchased Remington M34 22 LR - passed down from my grandfather Crossman 760 Powermaster - my first "gun" and what I learned to shoot with -
Love me some Hayburner. I always try to pick some up when in Buffalo to bring back home. I can imagine the double dry hopped is great.

Awesome catch! Awesome whale pics! Where were you fishing out of? We are heading out to the Cape in a couple weeks. Charters are pretty expensive. We usually try to get out on a half day party boat trip out of Harwich Port. Its 25 or 30 bucks and we usually catch a bunch of flounder/fluke.
