Radish seed spoken for. It was free, by the way.

Likely to be Dicks customers, that were expecting that type of atmosphere.

Thanks for the constructive criticism and for practicing being a moderator, for once!

For a Monday evening, the place was packed. Had a little trouble finding a parking space. Thought it would be slow, yeah right. Ended up parking near the Cabelas tractor. Yes friends that's right, a Korean tractor made for Cabelas. They had seven of them. In green and camo, of coarse. I got a kick out of first time Cabelas customers having some issues with the mounts. A few turned around and left. They had several items that had spots, but were out of stock. The knife section looked like a ghost town. High prices on some. Several clerks told me I could order on line, and have it shipped to the store free. Just pay the sales tax.

Stopped by Cabelas yesterday. Every spot in the parking lot was taken. Store was packed. Red, I looked at your flag poles, great work!

Ah, another orange debate. How many is that now?

I don't know if I would call it a pissing match or just plain old- new fashion constructive criticism. If someone states a commit that cannot be agreed on, you're bound to get called out on it. As for the foul language, no that cannot be tolerated as this is a family site. I just love America, know where else one come and go as they please! And edit too.

Speaking of....

Looks like another good mast crop, similar to last years here. Shag bark already dropping mature gold. Red Oaks have groups of 3 to 4 nut clusters. Whites are always less, for some reason. Apples look good also. I fumbled with stand placement, a year ago. Going to be a tough set up spot season again. A ray of light though. I picked up some nice sheds under the hickories in March. These blackberries are delicious, LOL. -
I'm thinking seriously about a new longbow, for use next season. I feel as though I'd like to advance to a new stage of bow hunting.

Last seasons shed hunting has given me so much MVI on age structure for my areas hunted. I feel an advantage, this season knowing what potential could be out there. The million dollar question. Will some of those deer visit the area during season?

He brought his friends this time

It's always nice to have friends, LOL. -
Went back this afternoon and spent several hours in the store. Found out I missed Mark and Terry Drury, who were at the store this past Saturday. Kinda still bummed out on that one. Got a nice look at some of their recurve bows they have in stock. Cabelas bucks may just go on one. Snapped some pics on some beautiful mounts they have. Had some good discussions with a few employees. Muzzleloader and crossbow weekend, Saturday, August 16th. Small mouth fishing, Coleman ATV's, Sunday, August 17th.

High on the roof top click, click, click, down the chimney went old Saint Nick, LOL. Congrats on a sweet sweet outfit.

Been picking 5 quarts a day. Berries are nice size and very sweet this year.

Nows there's something to try. Take a bath and cut up a deer at the same. Sprinkle a little salt in the water to soften the skin.

Had to ask this guy to leave my yard

Nice garden you have there! -
Looks like a good hatching. I came up upon a hen with two poults few weeks back. Those young'in shot into the tree tops like being fired out of a cannon. I came across a nest with 9 unbroken eggs, few days back. Looked like a fresh nest, but I would assume abandoned.

If their city, they may be training you! Edit: More high test, LOL.

My comment was solely based on "my decision" and my decision only, whether to take a crossbow afield. It, in no way, shape, or form affects any other people.season! The safety aspect however, affects every person afield during the crossbow hunting season!
-
This is a decision, solely left on each hunters standards to which they hunt by. A deer like this one, may be harvest in ones early hunting career, but may walk by later, as the hunter matures. The choice is in your court, on what to do, and it's your and only your call to make! It doesn't matter what word is used. In the end, the final outcome is the only thing that matters!

I was looking forward to taking a crossbow class and don't like how State or DEC slammed crossbow back into the state hunting seasons without the proper training and reintroduction of them, as they did in the first. The DEC. should have been apprised of this situation, and taken steps to amend it. I am very disappointed and feel the state let myself, as well as all crossbow hunters down. I feel that I want to retake the bow class just to go through the crossbow part of the coarse. I talked to a local class bow instructor and he feels that in the classroom training, their is not enough emphasis even put on the crossbow part of the coarse. I would just be taking a spot, that a young'in would fill. He agreed that the state feel far short on crossbow training. I feel as though hunting with a crossbow would be going against my moral values, as well as my safety side for hunting. This leads me to my decision whether or not to take a crossbow afield, this season.

This Reincarnation Station is way off. Says I'm going to come back as a jackass. I've already been called that many times in this life form. LOL.

I had to get fleas, so I missed the opening weekend. I understand the store was jammed pack full of money spending adventures. I know of one person that dropped a grand there.
-
Yeah, I remember when the hunting guide was little more than a leaflet. Now, it is what, an 80 page booklet and growing. Like Four Season's said, times sure have changed.

Thirty seven inch beans are nothing to shake a yard stick at, LOL. They certainly have had the moisture thou. I don't see any cat tails. Mine are growing very nicely and are six foot tall. Of coarse, lying in water makes them grow well, year like this. Does make good bedding areas. I was suppose to be cutting hay on that field. Can't even get into brush hog right now. Is that legumes coming up in the last pic?
