    That buck must be one of the smartest -wisest in NYS., to be able to elude roadways, hunters, and the like. He must go into nocturnal very early in the season. One would think at this stage of his life, the antlers would be loosing rapidly in score. Good luck on his shed find! Has anyone you know ever physically viewed this guy?

    Just being able to get afield keeps me excited and going back. The deer sightings and harvests are an extra bonus. Age will teach you to enjoy what you are handed!

    Nice. The bucks are on the move here, once again. The next breeding cycle has started. Interesting that deer didn't shed early from stress of the old wound.

    Not sure Duck Dynasty would have that big of an inpact, as the women on the show don't hunt. I wouldn't call Miss Kay's turtle searching hunting. I do believe they aired one episode where the wives went deer hunting with their hubbies and hated it.

    Now I'm confused. I thought the regular season buck tag could only be filled with a muzzleloader.

    Your regular season gun tag can still be filled. You need a muzzleloading license to hunt now.

    Haven't been able to sleep well since bow season started. Between that and the dam dog barking half the night.

    Had a chance last Friday night. Slammed on the brakes and had 7 cross in front of me at 8:50 pm.. Herding up.

    I found dressing so warm for the cold weather makes me sweat on my 2 mile hike in. Still looking for a solution for that.
