  2. Nice job on the photoshop. Now I can focus in with my bifocals. Yep, he's got a rack, LOL.
  3. They set up 90 feet from your ground blind and shoot after legal hours. Oh my! Everything is wet here also. Been watching a nice Tom and a couple of his jake buddies the last couple of nights now. Always come in after legal light. They got it from their deer buddies, LOL.
  4. Yep and some are being bred also here.
  5. ? Is this a neighbor or someone playing Halloween early?
  6. Had a slushy coating on the wood stand, along with icing till 1:30 pm. yesterday. A good 1st frost this morning which should send the deer into the clovers now.
  7. It was snow on arrival at my stand at 5:30 am. yesterday. Covered the wood platform at one point. Then iced at 1:30 pm.., without the cake, LOL. The deer were moving also.
  8. You don't have to tell me, LOL. Up in the stand from 530 am. till 2pm. Snowing at 6. At one point, it was icing out around 1 ish. got down at 2 and on the walk up, bright beautiful sunshine. Just my luck, LOL. Carson's do have good food.
  9. U sure don't want that string to come off. Not proud to admit it, but I had a string come right off the lower cam while removing it from the pullup string, some years ago. I didn't see it and sure wasn't expecting it. It caught the smallest twigs growing out of the ground, and I'm telling ya, it was the most violent encounter I've ever had with my bow. Dam lucky I still have all my fingers left.Took it to a bow shop to be checked out, owner said he's been averaging one a day. Now she goes right in a bow sling, safe and sound.Never again! Take it to a pro bow shop, have it checked out.
  10. I bale the first cutting hay off. Showing is a third of an acre of oats with about 8 acres of clover, trefoil and fine grasses around it. A deer magnet, LOL. I'll frost seed the oats to clover in February.
  11. You know, every time I see this, just as exciting as the first. Lost count on how many.
  12. Thought last afternoon was going to be the night for a gobbler. Had one with two jakes come into very close to bow range. My heart sank when they turned to head to their roosting tree. Heard them gobble this morning.
  13. Believe it or not, I actually passed on that buck the second week of bow. Not mature yet.
  14. LOL, we could of met at LaPorts for breakfast at 5.
  15. All after legal light. All I could do is sit and watch! Doe came in bringing 5 bucks on their heels sparing, stances, racks slapping, you name it right through 8 pm.. The winner got to breed the doe A mere 30 yds. from my stand. I did manage to get some pics, but light conditions wouldn't allow breeding pics.. Last pic is my view of same area.
  16. I use a $100 weather station right at the house. Far more accurate.
  17. The antlers were slapping till after 8 pm.. Funny thing. The light blue cell phone light never bothered them. Guess they were to busy, LOL.
  18. Winds were stiff and gusty last evening, then dropped off just before closing.SW to SE to North. Doe poured onto the field with several bucks, one shooter. Their I sat, after hours being teased watching sparing go on for several minutes before winner buck breeds a doe. Did manage to snap some low light pics but not of the breeding. The third pic is 3 sparing at once.
  19. Just went over the top- 378 member sign in. Old record was 377 on 10/08/13. Congrats everyone!
  20. Going to go as a grape and get juiced. If that don't work I'll go as a raisin and get squeezed. The m & m peanut guy is out this year. The candy coating ain't what it use to be,. LOL.
  21. Does the neighbor own property? If so, tell'em your hunting on his. We had a situation a few years back just like yours. Told the neighbor if he's coming on ours, we're going on his. It all ended when we started hauling some fine deer off his property, and we made dam sure he knew it. Never trespassed again. Ended up selling the property to some real friendly people that don't hunt, but let us.
  22. Not at all. Agricultural farm land has great potiential for raising deer of this caliper. Don't discount NY. just because the TV shows totally ignor us.. Pick yourself up a copy of the 2013 New York Big Buck Club book and take a gander inside to amaze yourself!
