  1. If wearing orange will prevent just one accident, I'm all for it. Did u get any pheasants?
  2. Yep, nothing like getting out in old Ma Nature by your lonesome. Your just get to see and hear, that much more!
  3. I even said I'd buy her a set of Victorinox kitchen knives. LOL, no dice.
  4. Wish my wife would cut up my deer, seriously!
  5. Not near of a big deal that the news media made out of it, maybe 4" with melting underneath.
  6. Haven't seen the road kills as much here, the last few years. I think the ones that get hit don't lay there long. I know I've got some very good venison of them.
  7. The only good coyote is a dead coyote. We don't see many, but they get hunted quite heavily here.
  8. Nothing like your first deer hanging on the wall year around!
  9. b. and shes not bred yet. She's missed the first go around or maybe an early born doe fawn. You must have a lot of doe. If she were to stay in this area, I'd be hunting there. She's close. Then comes the old judgement call, shoot the doe or take a chance on the buck, that just may well come in. Maybe be real lucky and shoot them both. Hope it turns out for ya with a dual harvest pic, LOL.
  10. Still seeing a lot of deer here. Second breeding season has already started. No herding, as of yet. Don't seem to be the normal amount of hunting activity for second weekend. May have been due to the placement of Thanksgiving this year.
  11. Looks like someone else is having one hell of a season! I'll add one, the flu hit me like a ton of bricks coming in, Sunday night. Going out tonight though, come hell or high water, LOL.
  12. Congrats! Comparing the head structure of the OP to WNY's, the heads look different. Could be the straight on pic of the OP though.
  13. Why such the large increase now, the holidays?
  14. Nice video. Looks like a maturing doe fawn on the car. She'll bring bucks in for you soon.
  15. I haven't read the other comments. Last night, I decided to mix it up a little by sitting right against a tree in full blaze orange, just inside of a 100 acres of thicket- woods. Deer started showing up about 3:38 pm. first with doe fawns crossing in front of me then after 4 during a snow shower, 2 nice doe passed, maybe 60 yd. History in this spot proves that deer moving this early should make for a good nights sit. It proved right. About 4:55 pm., a nice, maybe 170 lb., 2 1/2 year old 8 pt. came to bow range on me following, the earlier doe fawn scent. I passed on it, as it was after sunset and I'm looking for at least a 3 1/2+ year old. I'd say the second breeding season is near here. The rules have change, but I throw the cards on the table.
  16. I've rebuilt 27 Ford N tractors since 92, mostly 50 - 52, 8N as they have a better resale value. Side mount distributors and a little better draft control make them worth a little more. ( not for me) Nowadays, people won't pay the kind of money one has to get out of a rebuild, even though their work on a gallon an hour. I have a 42 Ford 2N, still with the original magneto. Been in the family, since 48.
  17. Nice find. Two thousand is a nice buy, provided the unit up to snuff. The Ford 9N tractor production was from 1939 to 1947. Their were new ones available from dealers in 48 when the Ford 8N came out. The 9N has one brake pedal on each side of the transmission case to identify.
  18. Pigs of that size were selling for $60 at Gentners Auction in Springville in the summer.
  19. I've won apples, potatoes, and even onions once, but never a live animal. That must have been some raffle!
  20. I think most do it, but it is illegal to put a deer down in the dark.
  21. More details? On the edge of my seat!
  22. But people in the big cities are so use to hearing gunfire in the dark.
  23. So the execution shot fired illegally into the deer, since it was dark.
