  1. I look forward to this time of year. We took a tour of some of the local farms last year. This one, had a small building, using firewood to boil the sap. Just a plain open air boiler. His end product was some of the best tasting syrup, I had ever experienced. My sweet tooth is already for this year, LOL. We use to evaporate to a ratio of 50 to 1. That was some very nice syrup. Today, I believe they use 42 to 1.
  2. I live in the same dark blue area of the Fall Turkey Season map. Fall season, in those areas, start on the 20th, or so, of October. ( Looking back at 4 prior years) Last year, It was on the 22nd.This years start date would be on the 21th. It is always on a Monday.
  3. Remembering my college years, back in the 70's; when gas prices rose from $00.36 To $00.80, later to $1.00, their was hell to pay.
  4. Nice looking mount. Who was the taxidermist?
  5. Funny how important issues like gas prices got left out of the last presidential election. Guess 62,000,000 voters like to take it right in the ah-ha.
  6. Good to have u back Eddie. Wait till u think $4 gas was cheap.
  7. Wonder if Einstein could spell? How good was his grammer?
  8. Made venison soup in the crock other night and it evap. most of the water. Is that still soup? Guess got to much time on hands, LOL. Come on turkey season!
  9. Congrats. You must have one high coyote population there. Haven't seen a track in the snow here, yet.
  10. This is one of the first winters, in a long time, that I have enjoyed. Got out a lot in the breaks and kept somewhat on top of things. It has been a fairly easy winter here. With that being said, the black plastic mulch is already waiting for the radish and onions, soon as this weather breaks. Trying sweet corn this year, ready for the 4th of July, hope, LOL. Edit: Haven't seen a robin yet.
  11. Pop tart guns will be included in the next gun law, LOL. They are dangerous and could consume a person in jelly.
  12. We'll, either I'm the only guinea pig in the state, or know one's talking, LOL.
  13. Hunters will be hovering around in their skittle crafts with their GPS tracking devices., as it's much faster to get a kill, and revert back govermental controlled tv programs and video games They will revert back to more primitive weapons like spear and sling shot as to even the playing field, as goverment will have control of all firearms and bows. This hunting will take place on goverment control lands, that once were known as farms for a stiff fee. . Small acreage hunting parcels will have dried up due to the tax rate increasing 100%. ( based on 2% tax cap) State and federal lands, which have been severely downsized, with state and federal sell off programs, will have a fee with a yearly usage tax on a lottery draw system with a 2 year waiting period. A hunting license will no longer be required, as goverment will have control through your imagration usage pass. Editors note: We have already taken the Y in the intersection.
  14. As posted elsewhere, I have had trouble with Gurneys. This doesn't surprise me at all.
  15. Nice. Would u want to sell 1/3rd of it? LOL.
  16. Really nice seeing a new deer story come up in March. Congrats!
  17. Going to call Mr. Litwhiler Monday for a more local meeting location
  18. Wind must be in the east today. Can smell it way over here, LOL. It's china buffet here tonight.
  19. Thought of doing a little research on Keith Ellison before commenting. Believe it or not, he was just reelected to his 4th term. Keith's Biography.htm
