  1. I stalk while bow hunting when the wind is blowing pretty good. Capitalize on what some hunters think is a bad hunting day. Get a way with a lot more movement during wind events. Have caught deer plenty of times, off guard. Have to be quick with the aim and shot placement. I practice plenty, for this.
  2. Sits, name calling doesn't solve the problem alerted on this thread. Let's try to be civilized.
  3. Don't forget about the doe to buck ratio.
  4. I don't know of any in our county. I thought it all had to be pasteurized to sell it. Unless it slips through the channels.
  5. Something to do at 7:25 am. Sunday morning. For not having a better place to install these pics. Although the deer did eat the end of my rows off earlier in the summer, but they grew back, LOL. I just love potato harvest time. This deer reminding me of opening day tomorrow, LOL. Heading to the oaks. He'd get a pass by me, but it sure was fun watching him.
  6. Ah, a nice healthy laxative, but the taste.
  7. I have practiced out to 30 yards. In the field though, I won't shoot any farther than 20. To many things can go wrong and do, in the area I'm bow hunting in, due to deflections.
  8. Now why would you let a little thing like deer season get in the way. I like to see all your carvings, any time. Please keep posting.
  9. Each person will get their own thread for posting. Contest entry closed 9-28. Contest starts 10/1. Threads will be up by then.
  10. Their just something special about open day that makes it feel like a special gift for me. I just enjoy being out there. Good luck and be safe all.
  11. I have 10 X 25 in military camo I paid $10 for many moons ago. They fold, compact and work perfect.
  12. Count me in. Sign up ends tonight at midnight. Going to be a fun contest, as they always are. Good luck and be safe though out the deer season. Enjoy!
  13. Something nice, in my definition of coarse. I reserve the right to pass judgement.
  14. The oats and radish tops are vanishing. Grain is pretty well gone. The last three pictures are of a rye planting on September 20. Harvested the second cutting hay, then went on with a shank tiller and disc. Doing fairly well for as late as it is. Planning on potatoes and pumpkins here, next year.
