Anybody else thinking about hunting?
landtracdeerhunter replied to nybuckboy's topic in Deer Hunting
Yes, the deer are here too. Tracking through to get maple sap, I see prints in the snow and mud. I always see where the deer have visited. All small hoofed. Large protected areas under the snow are being dug up for food. Quite surprised not to find a second shed on my travels. Thoughts of deer hunting past, run though. -
I was happy to see plenty of lobster tails available. The misses will get lobster, shrimp, and local black angus steak for this Valentines Day. Should beall set till Anniversary.

I always wanted to take the balloon ride up above Niagara Falls. They wanted something like $120 to do it and that ride didn't last long.

Calcium Chloride is heavier. Hundred pounds to a 50 gallon barrel of water. I think their 14.9 X 24 on the rear of a 4510 maybe even the 5010. Can pump darn near a barrel in each rear, to the top of the rim. I use to use a swimming pool pump to fill tires, LOL. Kioti loaders use to lift the rear of the tractor tires off the ground with the tires loaded. I use to attend service schools down to Jim's place in Stanley for Kioti. He's straight shooter and a good guy. Wonder if he still sell Steiner.

Boot Suggestions
landtracdeerhunter replied to BKhunter's topic in Hunting Gear Reviews and Gear Discussions
Been through three pair of the Muck Arctic Sport boots in just under three years. Thanks To L.L. Bean 100% satisfaction guarantee, they were replaced free of charge. They crack on top of the boot between the big toe and the foot area, one side then the other. Now that L.L. Bean is discontinuing their great warranty they had in place, I'll be looking for new boots in about 9 months. -
New casino in Catskills anyone go yet

My opinion; Casino's are a tax imposed on the lower and middle class. Lotteries also fall under this category. -
Oh come on. Are you kidding me?

That is what Niagara Falls New York residents thought. Now with millions dollars shortfall in the budget, and no casino money to fall back on, they don't even have the money to pave streets, that the casino traffic is wearing out. Top it off, he won't lend a dime to help bail them out. " Nature's Wonder Of The World" we're talking about here. Now the governor is sprouting casinos up all over the state because of the lawsuit with the Native Americans. Foul! -

Ask some of the residents and the few businesses that are left in Niagara Falls, New York how they like the casino now, years later. Tons of promises, all broken. -

Yeah, but at least that is for a good cause. -
Impact Implaments
landtracdeerhunter replied to Woodjr55's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
I agree, a Ford 2N, 9N, or 8N tractor would be better. A good mechanics knowledge is helpfu when owning one. How many do you want, LOL? I thought I was collecting them for a while. Time you get a 2 bottom plow, pull disc, drag harrow, and roller; have about that much more into it, do a far better job, and save The ATV for what it was designed to do. -
DK 40's also had extendable lower lift arms which made it very handy for hooking up 3 point hitch equipment. I don't see them listed as standard equipment. If available, sure would be worth paying extra. Something we were after Daedong to install on these smaller tractors was a lever to raise and lower 3 point hitch arms from the rear of the tractor. That comes in very handy also. Saves having to move the implements around by hand or going up on the platform. The 55 had it on as standard equipment.

Get the hydraulic remote, which is an option with Kioti today. Comes in very handy for the extra $. The older DK 40's( DH4510) came standard with them along with a 4 cylinder engine and metal hood, fenders. The 4 cylinder would start in the coldest of weather and run very smooth, not shaking the fenders. These tractors would sell themselves, LOL. Kioti had to replace the 4 with 3- 183 engine to meet tier 4. Only thing I don' t like on todays Kioti's is the fiberglass.
