That is the exact unit I was looking into. I always handle sap as you would milk with the temperature below 37 degree F. This week, sap been running way below that. At that temp. this unit has a 2 gal/ hour flow rate which is way to slow for what I need. I was always under the impression sap never should go to 40 degree F as they state with highest flow rate of 4 to 6 gal/hr...

How's the season going so far? This last week has been one of the best flows in years for me. Been boiling into the late night just to keep ahead. I will have to look into building a small scale Reverse Osmosis unit for next year or enlarge my evaporator again. Not sure at this point, what would be better.

Thanks for post Biz. Although I take teeth aging with a grain of salt, I don't trust any document that doesn't even list a company name. Not saying he's not 10 1/2 years old; just not trusting that paperwork.

Thank you for the useful info. I would like to try to build a homebrew this year.
-
I still have some that had the 35mm camera inside, that still work. I was always going to turn one into a "home brew" camera. I don't remember the name of the person that always talked about the home brew cameras on here.

It must be difficult to be a parent of a teenager in today's society. I just don't know how you parents do it. Wait till they are thirty something, , LOL.

Watch when everyones electric bill doubles and see who bitches. One bright light; it would make wind power profitable without government aid. -
Blind saver

I have one of those tipi style blinds still out. You know, the kind you get caught up in the cords for the windows. Figure since it's such a good turkey spot, why make the effort. It was doing very well until yesterdays wet snow; ended it's occupancy certificate., LOL. I can see the blue chair through the rip. -
In some of the protected areas here, there is actually grass growing. The deer have visited it heavily.

How To Finish Wood Scales on Knife
landtracdeerhunter replied to hunter's topic in DIY - Do It Yourself, tutorials and videos
I use linseed oil thinned with mineral spirits on my oaks, walnut, cherry, apple, and hickory handles. Black ash and locus don't take well. No sure on olive. Lately, I have let that finish dry down a week or so then buff to a high luster on a stationary frame.. It would be nice to pick up some olive wood scraps to practice on before applying it to your piece, to see what appeals to you. I have use birch pitch which adds a unique effect to the finish products. Next scales I add will incorporate homemade berry dyes. -
Remember the bright sunny 50 degree days, this past Monday through Wednesday? I use them to get me through the crappy ones.

Looks like it. Here in New York, they won't let us hunt them. DEC. (DNR) has double standards.

It has got to the point where I have to use a Walkers Game ear while deer hunting. I have had one to many deer walk up behind me, let out a snort and run off without me knowing it was there. They help a lot and even cut the muzzle blast way down.

Oh my good turkeyfeathers; the things you come up with, LOL.

In a pinch and don't have the time, Take roofing cement, spread on burlap and wrap it around the pipe. It dries and make a good temporary repair. I used it on cast- black iron waste pipe several times.
-
PVC pipe is so easy to work with. They also make threaded connectors and rubber boots to go into old work.

Their are some good YouTube videos for the do it yourself in you. Must be a pretty old house with cast iron drains yet.
