Most of my adult life I've been self employed. Started out selling firewood transitioned into building. Everything from the ground up. Like quite a few trades people , I'm better at trades than running a business. 2 totally different skill sets. For the past 5 years I've been running the construction division for a small company. Only 6 of us in our division. Title says construction supervisor/manager..Depends upon the day.. estimater,laborer,carpenter,plumber,electrician,foreman.. I'd say mostly teacher/guide. I tell the guys that when the day comes that they dont need me I'm retiring. I dont know if that day will ever come. Looks like many of you guys work with your hands so you know the next generation...lol

True . Many of these lands didn't get sold to the state but the state bought easements. I'm assuming you are right. I will find out next week when I get my check. I've only drawn unemployment once in my life. I normally claim 0 on taxes and get a little back in the spring. The last time I drew I didnt have taxes taken out. It basically worked out that I owed nothing.

This is why we are getting our launches and public places closed . People not bright enough to keep socially distanced... I fished all day yesterday.. had to move from 1 spot when someone tried being to close ..lol.. told him to stand down and moved onto a different one.. lol.. Though, I may be luckier than most in that I have practically an unlimited supply of uncrowded lakes and rivers .IDK. I have so far avoided going out with anybody but gf and kid...I'm thinking of going next week with a buddy. Seems like if we drive separately and stay at other ends of my 17' boat we should be safe? Besides . Both of us haven't seen a soul except for immediate family in 2 weeks for him and 1 for me..

Rosie, Theresa,Oxbow, Redwood. All within roughly 10- 20 miles around it. Between all of them I dont think there is 5000 people.lol

Yes sir it is! After this year. I'm in the market for my own piece. Leasing the camp for the past 12 years or so has been great and cheap.. but this crisis has locked me out of camp until at least 5/15.. I'm not having that again if I can help it..

Yea. I'm that guy that sweats looking at work... Doest help that I'm 35#s over fighting weight , 35#s closer than I was last year..Lol.... .I love my wool. Merino base layers are the only way to go

The main reason I need a larger pack is to carry my jacket and bibs if it's cold out. I cannot make myself walk slow enough to stop over heating if it's more that 1/4 mile from the truck.;).

You ever find Grass Lake? The best of them imo. Tricky to find. You wont find it by accident..lol I lease my spot @Yellow. Just as difficult to find the driveway. But they have small cabins they rent /day/or week. Not fancy but great spot. Ha.ha. ha. That is one of them . They called the cops too.. no tickets. The locals on the lake suck. They have ski boats and jet skis , but launch is carry in only..Just plain ignorant.. on a better note. The largest stringer of bass I've ever witnessed came out of that lake 5 bass . The smallest was just over 20". There was 4 of us in 2 different boats. Our boat was limited out but nowhere near those sizes. The other had the monster haul and his partner caught 2.. .lol This was over 20 years ago and rubber worms seemed to be just catching on. Back before they were salt impregnated and it took some skill to catch bass on a worm.This guy was a rubber worm master . .I love those Indian river lakes. My favorite crappie and bass fishing lakes..My camp is on Yellow..

That really sucks! I have had to move more than 1 boulder to get at a lake before.. After the state decided to make a nice new "improved" boat launch. Accessible only by cartop . If anybody knows this area at all , it wasn't to stop overcrowding.

I started out in the camp discounting the seriousness of this thing.. Personally not real worried about myself . Admittedly a little . The main major side effect of the medication I'm on is upper respiratory infections along with a weakened immune system. It is starting to hit closer to home . Our 1st casualty in our county this morning was my elderly neighbor. Friends step father isnt likely to survive either.

Way too many ticks this year. I have only had 1 attached so far but have picked off 2-6 every time I've been in the woods.. with all the cliffs and hills there is an abundance of spots to sit on the ground.For bow or gun. I think I will be using a stand though to avoid these stupid things. Found the last of this years ice too!

Yeap. That was probably all I threw from 10yrs old to 18. Then I started maki g more money and filling tackle boxes with every lure known to man. Not sure as I became a lot more successful..;)

Lol. I have a spot on my property that is impossible to hunt from the ground. It doesn't matter what way the wind is blowing or the deer are coming from they bust out of there when they get to within 40yds or so. The wind always swirls. The only time I've successfully hunted it is during a strong 25 MPHish wind..For over 40 yrs , I find balloons close to every year in this same 50yd area.. something to do with the terrain, wind patterns, and air pressure..?That is my theory.. I don't really know for sure, but it happens too often to be coincidence.
