  1. Last day , best buck for the oldest member of camp, his personal best from 55 years of hunting! one of my.personal personal goals this year was to get him a chance.. bonus on drive I took buck as well but it had shed its horns..
  2. Yep got one today had dropped this week sometime pericles almost healed over
  3. Li like to see one for region 9 meet ups... just sayin
  4. Imo the pellets are part of the issue, they do not completely fill the board and will create a ring of unburned powder. you basically make a mini pipe bomb every time they are used. Second issue is pellets do not let you get any where near the maximum efficiency losses powder does. I can raise the impact of my muzzleloader 1 inch at a time simply by adding 5 grains of powder. A true benefit on a non scoped gun with fixed sights and easier than blowing powder out the barrel and trying to adjust scope. You should hear sharp crack with no flame or excessive smoke if your shooting the correct amount of powder.. some of my guns perform with 85 grains ,115, 95, and 55.. all combination impossible with pellet that may vary 5 to 9 grains per pellet.. shooting correct amount of powder will eliminate the ring of powder that you encountered while sighting in trying to load bullet.
  5. Drives. Jump.a buck and you know where it lives.. keep in mind for future years hunts.
  6. Prefect example of themain problem with antler restrictions in high hunter densities. The best ,most potential 1.5 year old bucks will be shot as they meet the requirements. Soon all sub bucks will pass on their sub par horn and you will have giant 4 and 6pt dominant in the woods as they are untouchable..
  7. Hit a tree instead of the buck tonight..I'll be here till muzzleloader as my.vacation is coming to an end..
  8. Will be a bad year next year.. best years are after poor season success especially when weather forces some to stay home. Lot taken this year already means less for next year..sick of people complaining about everyone else getting big bucks and wanting 1 buck rule and ars.. gets worse every year. Be happy for others success and stop pressuring yourself, enjoy the show nature provides..
  9. Another reason I dont like them...wonder if he will ever use one again..... https://www.newyorkupstate.com/outdoors/2019/11/dec-forest-rangers-others-rescue-deer-hunter-hanging-by-his-feet-in-tree-stand.html

  22. I would guess liver.. you must of got.quite a bit of snow I only.for 2 or 3 inches.. body lump would stick out and crows find dead things quickly
  23. I have had good luck with mine, a few years ago they had issue with collars opening premature or not at all. The new ones correct this, perhaps you have an old bad set..I tend to buy new every year as I dont reuse them and a deer or two and a smaller game the 3 have need to be replaced..
