  1. Learn tree types and isolated.pockets. yes it state.land but a few fertilizer stakes around drop line make specific trees more flavorful and utilized. Public or private land July im.walking with binoculars and looking for.mast , what trees have them and by carefully.looking at old nuts on ground in early spring you can find preferred trees by looking at droppings on the forest floor fresher looking dropping were winter feed, older droppings that are decomposing were hit early in the seaon. They will clean up their favored mast before they move on down to less and less prefered.. you can be fooled by heavy heavy mast years as nuts may persist on the forest floor longer but again oldest dropping reveal the early drop of preferred mast.
  2. Axle grease spread thin is super sticky once coated with dust it needs to be wiped off hard most times with puddy knife. Your not slathering it on like shaving lotion. Most mullboard plows when done for season are wiped with grease as its sticks and is impervious to water but wears off when plow is put in the ground..
  3. I would guess both to be 3.5 the 8 will gross high 130s and net mid 130s , the 10 pt should land solid gross mid to high 140s and net mid to low 140
  4. Been doing it for decades best undercoating there is and use of used motor oil
  5. Axle grease and turn it on over a dusty area let it run a bit.. doesnt matter if grass sticks it will never rust..like spraying oil under a car and driving a dirt road and repeating the process a few times doenst look pretty but your bolts and nuts will always be able to be removed easily.
  6. I have a photo of dottie with fawn in its mouth and red collar around d its neck
  7. It will be back as long as food is still available
  8. Your a good dad Tim! want to adopt.me
  9. Take that cull buck with grain of salt.. lol cant Express sarcasm via text.. problem with texting and blogs. But I would of been trying to take out that buck for previous few years if all it was was big six. I have one here now that is 7+ years old and still cant kill it as it only shows at night but its gene's are showing up in herd .. you can manage any property any size. The amount of success will vary over time.
  10. A small plot will be wiped out pretty quick as it It is there 24/7 , guys electric fence, ect to keep deer out of it , a kill plot is different than a food or destination feed field. Mostly a guy takes down fence a der come a in and he shoots it. If fence is down the kill plot will be wiped out in few days and deer move on.
  11. Bait is only available In on specific spot a pile or a feeder, a plot is spread out bowhunting a 5 acre plot is not a guarentee shot as they may be eating it but are way out of range and can be scattered throughout. unlike a pile or feeder 20 yards in front of a stand where deers noses touch and feces accumulate and diseases can be easily transfered.
  12. They are being ticketed for feeding, they hit an old.lady here for same. Baiting is intent to kill animal. If they had stand nearby then it would be baiting no matter if season is open
  13. We had 2 with opposite flop ears, neighbor got rt flop ear last bow season, as for left floppy she has been targeted for years..and she is still walking....
  14. Feeding deer is illegal, but you will only be ticketed for baiting if you are hunting over it, technical distinction. As for food plots being bait, ok you have one stand to sit over my 5 acre cornfield , your chances are minimal compared to one stand over a single pile 20 yards from you. Especially with bow.
  15. So turned on NFL network and was shocked they are having a black college hall of fame game. Talk about segregating yourself. With all the flag kneeling going on. Why would such a thing exist. Many players of color are in the hall of fame and play the sport. This is just the biggest hypocrisy going..

  17. this doe is now 4+ her flop ear gives her away
  18. Maybe I'll stick with the wensel s till the no longer draw breath.. they been doing it for decades and most of what I do management/ stand placement wise is from their early videos
  19. I can figure out a new property very quick by walking it. Pressure is about only thing that is hardest to figure out
  20. Older than 3.5 and poor genetics .would be known as a cull buck.
